Latest TSA Outrage

TSA leadership has not figured out how to get rid of their bad apples. They consistantly hide behind the airport security screener's "right to privacy" when it comes to answering about the incidents. Most of the police departments are more forthcoming in responding to valid citizen complaints.

Don't mischaracterize what you suppose is my "mission." Sensible and effective security screening is needed before getting on a plane.

I just don't see why I have don't have the same rights in dealing with an airport security screener as I do in dealing with a cop. I think that the evidence, based on "red team" tests, is that airport security screeners fail to detect weapons and explosives way too often. They also generate way too many false positives and then deman and humiliate people to clear these.

Too bad the disabled Marine's thread ( http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2748834 ) got closed so quickly. :confused3 It would have been interesting if he posted it here. Some TSA sycophants seemed to believe his story.

ok so if I am mischaracterizing your intentions let me ask exactly what is it? You say its for obtaining sensible and effective screening? and you're getting that by the weekly "I hate TSA" rants?

How's that working for you? because as I said in the previous post for most of the general public it's pretty ineffective.

To ME, the outrage is...

This woman was going to have her mother SIT on the airplane in a soiled diaper b/c she didn't have another one with her. Words fail me how awful I feel that is!

Thank you! Exactly what I thought when I read that. :(

How about too bulky of a sanitary napkin? Will that set off an alarm? Becasue the ones that you buy in restrooms are pretty good sized.
Can you fly during that time of the month without being strip searched?

Okay...this 'discussion' is going down a path that isn't so wonderful. We are now rehashing old arguments. Nothing new or helpful here. We're done. Yes, the mean old moderator is closing it down.
