What is the latest PS for Goofy's Kitchen Brunch during the week in the summer?

PSes can't be made that far out yet, you can only make PSes no later then 60 days in advance.

However, currently you can book a PS for brunch at Goofy's up until 11am. Personally, I don't suggest it and would go at least around the 9:30am-10:00am just so you don't get food that could potentially have been sitting out and not refreshed.

I had a later brunch and all the food was great and fresh except the potatos which just are not like what I would make and am used to eating. They cannot leave the food out too long and have to watch temperatures and stuff. I was very satisfied with my late brunch.

What? They don't refresh the food? At WDW, they keep bringing the food well after the last seating time. Is it different at DL? The brunch is open until noon with 11 a.m. as the last seating ... seems like there would still be lots of people eating an entire hour before it closes.

I'd be curious if other people have experienced cold or no food after 11 a.m. Thanks.

We will never do a late sitting at GK's again because of our terrible experience there. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but it was so upsetting and l wouldn't risk going through it again. We were told that we had an hour and a half time to eat, as we have always been told and have done without any problems previously. We were there for DS's birthday and after not even an hour, but close to it, (a lot of time was taken up with all the characters coming around, singing Happy Birthday, etc; so we hadn't eaten much yet). a woman very rudely asked us if we were done and told us to hurry up and finish eating as we were holding up her getting everything ready for the dinner service. I think it was only 11:30 at that point. I told her that we were told that we had an hour and a half, and she said" WHO TOLD YOU THAT?!!!" Someone else heard the conversation and came over, and agreed with us about what we were told. So, then the two of them started loudly arguing with each other in front of us about how long we should be there. My poor DS was so upset that he couldn't eat anything after that, and it really put a damper on his birthday celebration. It We had so many people, including the chef, come over to our table to apologize, and it really was a mess. We love Goofy's and I've never experienced anything like that there or anywhere else at DLR. It was so strange to see something so unprofessional like that happen there and it really surprised me. SO, to avoid any situation like that happening, I will never make a late PS there again. Maybe it is an isolated incident, but I don't want to take the chance. :)

I feel that was an exception. CMs can have bad days, not pay attention to training, etc. and they did apologize though your event was ruined. Ariel's and Goofy's do have time limits. Ariel's does sets of meals so that everyone is fed at the same time and to prevent dawdlers. Goofy's is to prevent dawdlers who keep grazing and waiting for more character interaction.

I am sorry for your bad day. I have talked to some high level chefs recently and can promise you that this have strict standards and that kind of behavior is not tolerated. They want their restaurants to be special places where guests want to eat at instead of having to eat there or going offsite. The staff is trained in how to handle dawdlers and other rule breakers which is not how you were handled. I would suggest you go back again and give them another try.

I had a 1:00 PS at Goofy's on a Saturday during Spring Break. I'd previously had a 2:00, which they'd told me was the last one of the day, but I moved it up. I thought the food was fine at 1:00.

Thank you for your kind words. :) This was much more than someone just having a bad day though. It was an older person who had been there a while, not a new person, or a younger person (just trained) who didn't know any better. Someone spoke to me afterwards and said that they had MANY problems with this lady in the past and the situation that occurred with me had happened before. Yes, I know they have time limits, but we had been there many times previous to that and have always been told it was 1 and 1/2 hours. Our PS was for 10:30 and it was only 11:30 when this happened, so we were well within our time limit. Apparently this CM was in charge of getting everything cleared out and according to the CM's at the desk outside the entrance, there is always a conflict between her wanting the place cleared and the CM's at the front desk who are seating people and telling them that they have 1 and 1/2 hours. Yes, we did receive an apology, but it was a huge fiasco....CM's arguing with each other in front of us, etc. Things like that shouldn't occur in front of customers. There is no excuse for something unprofessional like that to occur. That is more than just someone having a bad day. :) And yes, we are returning there and we plan to make early PS this time....LOL :)

What a great attitude. The CMs should have gone backstage to discuss the matter as that is company policy. That is standard business practices taught in business classes in college from what I remember. I think this time around you will have a great time. I love your attitude and understanding as this could happen even at Shoney's or Denney's and not just at DLR.

I worked the polling booths as would get older ladies who were adamant on how to run the polls despite the rules. Some people have their way of doing things even if others including their employer have a different way of doing things.

I think when I called last summer to make the PS the latest time we could reserve was 11:40. We were told the same thing about the hour and a half and that the characters go away at noon. I decided to bump up our reserve to 11:20.

We've always gone around this time and the characters have never left at noon. The food was always fresh and we had plenty of time and excellent character interaction.

A couple of times we've even had the characters all too ourselves as the restaurant cleared out and we still had plenty of time left in our hour and a half.

We love going at this time of the day!

Thanks for all the replies. :)

I was hoping we could go for brunch before we went back to the room for a rest but 11:40 is too early. We may just have to do dinner vs. lunch
