you may have to ask every time honestly - some can do all of the magic shots, some can only do a few - or it may be one that isnt' done anymore

Got a new one for us late February. My DD had Pascal on her head!

That must have been unique - becuase they will even say that the photographers with tripods can't do them -

It happened more than once in more than one park. In one instance, I'd started to ask about Magic Shots and cut myself off saying he couldn't because of the tripod. The photographer corrected me that that's a misconception and that he'd just done one and could do another.

Huh - maybe its change in the past few months?? If so, thats AWESOME!! A ton more opportunities for magic shots!!

Cameras on tripods can't usually do magic shots (I've always been told that, but maybe it's changed). We always ask - kids love them!!!

That is correct

Photographers with tripods can do magic shots (have no idea when it changed, or perhaps it was always a rumor and never true).

Often the photographers with tripods will have animated magic shots (not always, but sometimes). And it's been my experience that the ones that do (have tripods and do magic shots) seem to do them automatically (both regular pics and magic shots).

Pascal on my arm in early March 2016 at the exit of BTMRR.

We got an Olaf one just 2 weeks ago to the right of the castle.

A year or so ago it was a photographer with a tripod that told me only free cameras could do the magic shots. Either he told a fib or it should have been those are the photographers who "would" do them or it has since changed.

When they take a magic shot, on the MM you get both the original and the magic shot?

On our last trip in Feb. it was the first time we used the MM. I was really surprised how much my husband and I enjoyed it but like many above have stated you really have to ask for any of the magic shots. Many of the photographers in HS really seemed bored and we had some really poor shots from them and they often told me no they couldn't do any magic shots. The best one was at the entrance of HS who took a lot of time and did the balloon shots that came out great because he explained what he wanted us to do and why. EPCOT was a great place to have shots taken as well, both down by the water and at night by the fountain at France. It was wonderful having a large group of photos from our vacation that we were both in!

Thanks everyone! I'm really hoping to get the Wings one, where do I ask for that one??

In May 2015, we got the wings in the area behind the Epcot ball, the place where they have photographers in the really big empty space near-ish to the fountain! As if you're walking toward the entrance to World Showcase.

(They're growing out of my arm, but it was still super cute!)

On our trip in December we got a ton of magic shots and they were done at all the parks including from cameras on tripods. We got Sebastian, rock trolls, olaf, Sven, stitch a couple different ways, pascal, tink, and more that I can't think of right now. Had several animated shots as well.

No, it's just the magic shot. Honestly, you wouldn't want the original shot without the magic since it would be an awkward pose. For example, take Tinkerbell out of my avatar and it would end up looking like I'm surprised I have a hand. *LOL*

Occasionally, they do forget to "add the magic" and you'll the see the original shot. If you contact them, they can add it in.

I am curious if there will be new Magic Shots located around all the new activities, FEA, Soarin and around the AK Tree at Night!!!

We were there last month and had magic hots of Olaf and Sebastian in MK
Tink, Stitch, Pascal, Simba, Timon & Pumbaa in AK
Tink, Jiminy Cricket, butterflies in Epcot
Mike and Sully in HS
