Just got this e-mail from Disney about DVC perks. Here's what it said:
Discounted experiences at the Epcot® International Food and Wine Festival are just a few of the tasty treats available to Disney Vacation Club Members in the months ahead. From a mind-bending show that's full of eye candy to an after-hours event that'll fill your bags with actual candy, 'tis the season to awaken your senses through the magic of Membership.
The aforementioned Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will present "a passport to a world of flavors" Sept. 30-Nov. 13, and Members who act fast may purchase discounted tickets to select wine seminars, culinary demonstrations and mixology experiences taking place Mondays through Thursdays throughout the festival. Member Services will begin booking the discounted experiences tomorrow, August 12, 2011, four days before these offerings become available to the general public.
A link within the detailed story on your Member website will lead you to more information about the festival so you'll be suitably prepared (and hungry!) by the time you call Member Services.
While on the site, don't miss these other seasonal perks:
Discounted Disneyland® and Walt Disney World® Halloween parties
Discounted Walt Disney World Holiday parties
Discounted La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil® tickets
I thought this was timely considering all the concerns about lack of DVC perks. The biggest one here seems to be a 4 day head start on the F&W activities...being able to book first and at a discount.
I won't be using any of these but they seem like decent perks to me.
