Late to a Fantasmic Dining Package ADR???

Let me 1st say I have never, ever been late to an ADR. We are usually checking in at least 15 mins before our ADR time

On our upcoming trip we are having a hard time fitting in the MGM parade during our October stay. The problem is we have a 4:10pm for Mama Melroses for the Fantasmic! Dining Package. The parade starts at 4:00

What happens if we are late to our Mama's ADR? I have tried calling to get it a little later and they are booked solid. I even tried moving some other ADRs around to try to get the parade in and it seems like EVERYTHING is booked solid.

I was thinking if we catch the MGM parade right where it starts near Star Tours and then hussle over to Mama's as soon as it is done, we might be about 20 or so minutes late. Would that be frowned on? Would we lose our ADRs?

I plan on calling often to see if a later time as opened up but so far no luck.

If it helps we do have one person in our party that isn't a big parade watcher. He could leave a little ahead of us and check in maybe only 10/15 mins late, but would he be seated right away?

We have never been to Mama's so I am not sure what the wait times are like.
Any suggestions?

I think they only hold your ADR for 15 minutes, so if you are more than 15 minutes late you would be put on the "walk up list" where there mighnt or might not be any available seatings.

as it is the length of the dinner. We've noticed that when dining on the Fantasmic package, the meal will take 90 minutes to 2 hours. So they book the packages all very early to make sure you don't miss your seating at Fantasmic. I know, it's a pain in the rear... I can only assume that they had a real problem with people booking the package too close to showtime. I haven't been able to get anything after 5 the last couple of trips.

I would definitely check with them because we were told no more than 15 minutes late for the FDP package. If you are late and they can't accomodate you then you would also lose your $10 per person deposit. We had the FDP at Mama's in January and we waited about 15-20 minutes but then the service was extremely slow. It was a total of about 2 hours at Mamas total and we had to hustle to Fantasmic. Previously eating at the same time at H and V we had time to see Beauty and the Beast and shop between dinner and Fantasmic.

Thanks! I didn't know about only holding your ADR for 15 mins. Good thing there is the DIS to ask these questions

Well, I think I have it set for now. It's a lot of running around but we can manage.
we are going to get over to MGM on our arrival day and catch the parade. Then after the parade go over to Magic Kingdom for SpectroMagic Parade, which was our original plan for our arrival day.
Luckily our plane is scheduled to land at 11:30am so we should have more then enough time to check in (using Magical Express Bus) and hop on the bus to get to MGM by 4:00 (parade is at 4:30 that day).

We are going to have to cancel our 1900 Park Fare supper for that day though. I need to call and see if I can get in our on last day instead (crossing fingers)

If we catch the parade on our arrival day then on our full MGM day we can get to our ADRs right on time
