Late flight arrival and DME

Our flight doesn't get in until after 10 p.m. Will they still deliver our luggage directly to our room that late or will it be the next morning?

DH and I went for our honeymoon in August, and our flight didn't get into MCO until nearly midnight. We were checked into the hotel and in our room by 2:00 AM. If I recall, our luggage arrived in our room very early in the morning. I was anxious as to whether it would arrive before we woke up, but it was not a problem. We were planning to wake up around 6:30, and I think the bags arrived around 4:00 AM.
I had the same worry you did, but we just packed enough (toothbrushes, facewash, PJ's) to get us to the morning, and the luggage arrived no problem. If I recall correctly, they have 4-5 hours to deliver your luggage to your room.
You can also pick it up yourself and load it onto the Magical Express to be sure it arrives with you.

1) If arriving at MCO after 9:00pm, PLEASE pick up your own luggage.
2) You can take it to DME for transport.
3) It will go on the same bus as you do.
4) If DME handles the luggage it could take quite a while.
5) I have seen luggage delayed until 8:00am or later.

Why should we pick up our luggage if we don't have to. It has many disadvantages.
1) If I pick up my own luggage than I'm at MCO a lot longer
2) I then have to tip a Skycap to get it down to DME for me
3) I then have to tip the bus driver a lot more
4) I then have to figure out how to get it to my room since Value Luggage Services is closed by then
5) So what if it's delayed, I have what I need to go to bed and get out the door the next morning in my carryon.

It takes longer to get to my resort and longer to get to bed if I have to schlep my own luggage (and it costs me more money).

No thanks, I'll let DME bring my stuff and I can then unpack it the next afternoon when we come back for our break.

When we went down last year, our plane arrived late, 10 or so. When we got to the CR we asked bell services NOT to bring our luggage to our room until the next day. We had packed everything we needed in our carry on bags and were good to go the next day without the luggage. Well at about 2 am comes a knock on the door and then the door is opening and in comes guys with our luggage. I was not too pleased. I guess we should have put out the do not disturb sign. Bell services appologized the next day, but it made for a short nights sleep. So if you don't want them to bring the luggage until the next day, make sure that the bell services people are very clear about it.
