Any reports of being able to get a late check out here recently?

Go ask the front desk. They will tell you if you can or can’t.

We had 4 rooms staying at Poly studio villas over LD week...2 of us were able to get late checkouts. Don't call...go ask at the front desk. When I called I got the we're not doing them spiel, but then found out my sister had already asked at the front desk and got one, so I went the next day and asked and we were good to go.
Never at a DVC villa.
You mean you've never gotten one at a DVC, not that they don't do them...correct? It was just a bit confusing since the poster asked if there were any reports...we've gotten late checkouts at BLT 2 times in the past and now at Poly post-covid.

Related question: I know calling the "hotel front desk" gets you a call center in Wichita*, but does even calling from a room phone still go to the call center, and not the actual front desk of the resort?

*I'm half-joking about it being in the middle of Kansas, but we know it's not on-site.

Yes.

On our check out day our door was knocked on twice before 10 AM to make sure we were leaving. I think it’s safe to say they’re not letting late check out currently due to cleaning procedures.

Ours was as well... at 830 which kinda drives me nuts as we've run into that a lot at Disney, but we just told them when we'd be leaving and it was not an issue. I do think it's safe to say they're not giving out as many late checkouts as they used to and I assume anyone calling from their room would get the standard no...but depending on the resort and probably their staff/needs/turnover it's certainly possible and if it would help us; I definitely go to the front desk and ask.

ETA: Late check out was 100 as usual when we got it in Sept.

That's not a COVID thing. Some Disney hotels routinely did that pre-COVID.

BoardWalk Villas has been notorious for doing that.
