I have a friend who is suppose to go to Disney with her family this weekend. She is expecting a child in about 5 months and yesterday her MD said he may not let her travel. I thought that I had heard you could "transfer" your reservation to another date to avoid losing the first night deposit if you don't show. Is that correct?
She is thinking she would just move this to a few months after the baby is born and maybe just DH and DS would go on a father son event.

Well if she has a package and she is more than 45 days out she can cancel without penelty.

Also if she just has a room only reservation she can cancel without penelty as long as it is done before 6 days out.

Well she was suppose to go Friday, so we are inside the 6 day limit. I thought she might be able to appeal to them on the medical issue, but just in case I was thinking I had read of folks just rescheduling without the penalty. (It's not a package, just room only)

She may loose just the first nights deposit...since she has a medical issue they may be more lenient but I know I asked about canceling within the 5days once because my ds got sick a few days before and was told "sorry, that's why they offer trip insurance" :(

Best of luck and pixie dust to her. Let us know what happens.
