Good Morning.
Kathy, how is your DH?
Kathy - that is me that sent you a friend reqest on facebook.![]()
Hi Kelli!
Thanks for asking. He's still not doing very well. Today marks the beginning of week number 3 that he's out of work. He went for his stress test Monday and they couldn't do it - he was in too much pain, mostly from the fact that he wasn't allowed to eat or take his stomach medication. The cardiologist wanted the stress test only as a precaution just because of the one high number on that enzyme test when he went into the ER two weeks ago. The cardiologist really doesn't think there is a problem. So, after not being able to have the stress test the cardiologist's office called the surgeon's office to see if they could bump up the endoscopy and do it any sooner. The cardiologist's office said they really need to be able to get that pain under control. The surgeon said no, that she wouldn't do the endoscopy until he's had the stress test.(Understandable - I realize she doesn't want that liability but he's getting such a run-around that it's hard not to get upset about it!) So Monday afternoon the cardiologist's office said they would call him Tuesday morning to give him a time for having the stress test today. So, I re-worked my schedule and took today off. They didn't call yesterday morning so he finally called them after lunchtime yesterday. Oh - by the way - we forgot to tell you that you can't take the one medication that you're on for 48 hours before the stress test!
So, that means that with all the suffering that he had to go through Monday if he had made it through the stress test the results wouldn't have been accurate because he had been taking that medication!!! So, they've scheduled it for 1:45 tomorrow. Another day of not eating - which will cause pain - but his regular doctor told him yesterday to go ahead and cheat a little and have a little something in his stomach. That's all he needs - a cracker or two.
There's no way I can get off work to take him so if he's not up to driving one of our friends is going to take him in. And, tomorrow is our 26th anniversary!
Thanks for letting me vent! I get so angry at all the wasted time while he's suffering. I've never seen him like this and it's very hard for me!
On a good note - yesterday I took him for a scan of his gallbladder and it looked good.
I saw that and then this weekend I couldn't find it again to add you. Would you please send another friend request??
We are patiently (okay, maybe impatiently) waiting for an update on school for today. At 6 a.m. they said that they were planning a 3 hour delay with a final decision to be made by 8:30 a.m. It's 8:38 and still no decision! If it's limited routes the boys are staying home! I think 4 hours of school is a waste!
Oh my goodness! I can't believe he is getting the run around like that. I am so sorry to hear he is in so much pain. I really hope you get answers soon.![]()
It won't let me send another one. My request should still be there. If you are on your home page on the upper right hand corner it should list a number and than friend request. If you click that you should still be able to see it.
If that doesn't work try to send me one.
Is the weather really bad??

Not too bad now. We have about 4" of snow on the ground. Our road is clear but the side roads are still covered. But it's supposed to go up into the 40's today and then rain this afternoon....

Cold here too-only 35 outside right now(no snow though)-yucky

But probably a lot higher in elevation!![]()
