NOT JUST FRIDAY BUT....

FRIDAY THE 13th !!!!!

Unlike a lot of people I try to look at Friday the 13th as a lucky day! Think positive!!

The neurologist spent quite a bit of time talking with me after the NCS. He said that it is an "extremely" severe case and I need to follow-up with my doctor as soon as possible to discuss surgery. He said that I need surgery ASAP to stop the damage, however, he feels as severe as it is the surgery will probably not fix the damage that has already been done...meaning I may have a numb thumb and index finger for life! And he also said that I am very close to the possibility of losing the use of my thumb! I knew it was bad but I never imagined it was as bad as he made it sound.

So, I have an appointment with my doctor next Wednesday.

wow! I'm so sorry you are in so much pain!

I'm really not in that much pain, luckily! The problem is more the numbness. If I'm turning a page or counting money I can't feel if there is more than one page or more than one bill. Not good for counting!
