Then she said that she really wasn't unappreciative about the outfit...then she teared up and looked sad. I asked her what was wrong and she said she was embarrassed to tell me. Then she said that it was really hard to shop for an outfit and spend any money on clothes (her money or mine) when they don't have hardly any food! I walked to the kitchen and looked. There was almost nothing! So, off to the grocery store we went!!! We filled an entire cart, top and bottom. She was so excited! I hate that it had gotten to that point for her before she said anything but I'm glad I was able to help her out. She said it was the best present she could've gotten!

you know as a girl.. as much trouble as you have with your mom, you know she will always be there for you when it really counts. I'm so glad you were able to go on this trip and help them out!

Good evening everyone.

I had a great trip to WDW. I ate my way around the world at Epcot. Everything was so good. I love the Food and Wine Fest.

Spent some time with my friends just hanging out at WDW.

The weather was nice, a little warm on Saturday.

We also rode the new Toy Store Ride at DHS. We loved it, too darn cute.

I guess I should've read back before my other post!

you know as a girl.. as much trouble as you have with your mom, you know she will always be there for you when it really counts. I'm so glad you were able to go on this trip and help them out!

DD and I have had our problems over the years, but she's still our DD and I hate to see her having a hard time! I'm glad we were able to help them out, too!

Kathy.... I just want to say from someone who was once in your DD's postion ...There are no words to describe what you just did.

Years ago before DH and I were married we had an apartment with a friend he worked with to split the bills. We were planning the wedding I was in college and things were tight but OK $$ wise then DH got hurt at work and Money got Real bad. I didn't know how to say anything to my Mom or his Mom cause I didn't want to admit we couldn't do it. But let me tell you our cupboard were EMPTY.

They Knew DH was out of work but they didn't know how financially bad things had gotten.

Well my Mom stopped down to drop of some paperwork one day and noticed... she didn't say anything just hugged me said Goodbye and left...

about 2 hours later she came back with Bags and Bags and BAGS of FOOD!!!! It was Christmas and my birthday combined
She called his mom and told her and that night she came with the NON food stuff like TP, laundry soap...shampoo you know that kinda stuff

This was a one time Help they both gave and 18 years later I still remember how embarrased I was but also how Greatful we were for the lift.....

Just wanted you to know from the other side of the story...I have been where your DD is.

All this with also trying to feed four kids. One of my friends knew things had to be getting rough. I couldn't drive and one day she asked if we needed andything from town so I asked her to pick up a gallon of milk and dog food. She came in with milk, dog food...and a bunch of bags of food! We appreciated that soooo much and will never forget how nice that was, even if we were embarrassed!

Charlotte was, well, Charlotte! I hate Charlotte! I feel just like the little country mouse travelling to the big city!

DD and I did have a very nice day together.

DH and I have talked about going to F&W by ourselves one year.. but the kids would KILL us!!

I love TSM! Madison and I rode it last time four times in a row in the single rider line while the boys went to Star Tours.

I loved F&W - with the girls, that was when we went down for the conference w/o DH what's a girl to do?

we had a blast with TSM, too bad they have gotten rid of the single rider line there now.

we still have two assistant prinicpals to "run" the joint, and he'll only be gone for 6 weeks .... he's been out of town for longer than that with the state committee he's on
