Last night was terrible!!

We got a sudden sleet/ice storm around 4 p.m. They weren't calling for anything but rain. It took the whole area by surprise. State trucks hadn't done anything to the roads and had to scramble to get workers back in.

I was at work and was just about ready to get out of there. I never made it home until almost 11. At one point they closed two of the three major roads into the county - but not until after a fatality on one of the roads. DH called me to tell me to stay in town and not even try - they had closed our little mountain road as well!

By 10 the temperatures started to rise and I only ended up having problems in one place on our road.

This morning it's already 40!

It's Christmas Eve!

And I got to come home early from work-nice and quiet night-But I have to go back to work on Christmas Night

Oh well I have all day off today and don't have to go to work til 7pm on Christmas-not too bad if one has to work on the holiday I guess

Not bad at all!!! You get to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with your family!!! (Let them clean up the mess when you go to work )
