hear that echo?? I feel like I'm at Carlsbad Caverns.....

OK-after starting to strip the wallpaper-We discovered that the wallpaper was applied directly on top of another layer of wallpaper -and that wallpaper was applied directly to the drywall:headache:

so now I have a huge mess-drywall repairs before I can even start to paint-we even had to pull out the old mirror-so it's going to be a complete overhaul once I get done!

and it looks like they did the same thing with the Master BR-applied directly to the drywall again-but this time it's only one layer-but that layer is peeling so we have to strip it too :faint:

so next week I have to: Repair the drywall, find a new vanity, get a new mirror and we mind as well get a new commode while were at it-then it will be completely redone

not exactly what I was planning to do-but something we had to eventually do:sad2:

But for now-it's off to work for the weekend-BUT next weekend I have off:cool1:

Hope Everyone has a Great One-rainy here :umbrella: -so it will be perfect sleeping weather

see You later :wave2:

....YIKES! :scared:

Yeah that's one word for it-thank goodness DS helped peel off all the layers with me or I would of been there all night:sad2:

-the drywall is in rough shape now since the wallpaper peeled off the top layer of it in a lot of areas

Hi everyone.

Sorry I haven't been around much this week. Busy week for us!

I just want to stop by here to ask that you keep our friends in your thoughts and prayers. I've posted MANY times talking about our friend's daughter, Emily. Emily was diagnosed with leukemia three days after her 12th birthday in 2001. She has battled this disease for six and a half years and her battle included a bone marrow transplant.

Emily lost her battle early this morning! I can't even imagine what her family is feeling.

I hope that everyone will continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks!

:sad1: It's so hard to even try to imagine what the parents and family are going through.

Emily has an older brother and two younger sisters. Her one sister is only a year younger than her and they were so very close. She is the one that donated the marrow for Emily. Her other younger sister is learning disabled.
