Yeah, but that's part of the bit she does. I forget what exactly it is, but it's something involving rubber bands and high heels :confused3:

Interesting...
I used liquid latex in a model I did for uni and I'm assuming she uses one that dries quicker...lol...

Yeah, I think I'd try making molds or something out of liquid silicone, but I have a mild latex allergy. Yay for wearing latex gloves for a long time. It's not strong enough to effect certain things, but I do break out when I spend a long period of time exposed to it (like wearing gloves to empty trash cans or deal with a resident's dirty clothes).

My question is what's better though? PVC or Latex...

I honestly have no idea :lmao: My friend who does burlesque might know (she's also a model), but it's 3am and I'm so not waking her up :rotfl:

What whole? Or cut up?
How long would that take???

It shouldn't take long. I know when I make baked potatoes, they don't take long.

I want a baked potato now :lmao: Unfortunately, we have no potatoes in the house.

Yes, whole. Just give the skin a bit of a wash and dry. Put it in an oven at 180 C for about 30 minutes; or until soft. It might take less, it might take more. Then just pull the skin off. The inside should be nice and squidgy.

Latex is a natural product. PVC is manufactured. I'll take the latex any day.

I'll take my cotton skirts, thank you :rotfl2: Stupid allergy :headache: I developed it working at Disney. They had to provide me with vinyl gloves so I wouldn't break out as much as I had been.

Do the places you work for offer latex free?? I would have thought that's an OH&S thing if they don't?

They do, but you have to request it. I can handle the powder-free latex, as it seems to be the powder that I'm allergic to. But yeah, as long as I inform them of the allergy, they can work around it and provide an alternative form of PPE for me to use. At Disney, I could use either powder-free or vinyl and had to keep the boxes in my locker so that I didn't lose them or have someone else find them, since it was for a medical reason.

Just need to remember we're working with a 30yo oven here :rolleyes1:
No fan....things take a while...

Do you put them in a tray with oil? Just curious what method you do. Normally I've only baked them in a tray with oil as that's how gran always did...but I am wondering if that's the best way

When I do baked potatoes, I just stick them on the rack as is, with nothing under them. I also make them in the microwave sometimes, but the oven cooks them better.

:grouphug:

You could put oil on it....if you wanted to crisp the skin and eat the skin (which I never have). I assume you can like potatoes.

But you were talking of peeling; so I just figured you didn't want to eat the skin.

If you are peeling the skin after cooking, you might be better off seasoning the insides after the cooking process.

I normally put them on a tray with baking paper; no oil. Then bake.

I love me cotton...just a curiosity that started about a year ago :rolleyes1 after an abrupt awakening to the wide world out there...

I hate allergies :( They are always there on your mind as something you need to watch for. I don't seem to have that one but if I'd had long exposure I might have done...
I am allergic to some bandaid adhesives though....that's fun.....put a bandaid on a small injury and whole area flares up red!!

I do a little krazy salt (this weird seasoning that's been in my family kitchen for, like, ever), some butter, and sometimes shredded mozzarella. I love cheese, though, and usually find a reason to stick it on just about anything :rolleyes1

I've been really into skirts and dresses for the last few months for some reason... I don't think I've worn any shorts this summer, except for capris. And cotton's just so comfortable in the heat.

Yeah, I have a contact allergy to the chemicals in most perfumes. The only kind I've found that doesn't make me break out in hives is the Bath and Body Works body sprays. They make me itch a little, but that's nothing compared to what happened when I borrowed my old roommate's Clinique for a date
