Lasting after work. Hope Independence Day celebrations went well for everyone and that the band rocked the house!

How have you been? How are things going with DBF?

Wish that US Navy ship were in Melbourne.
I need a picture of Destroyer for the scavenger hunt. :rotfl2:

And....whilst not in the same class but equally as cool, on another Old thread, a New York friend has posted pictures of the fireworks FROM HER WINDOW! And they look spectacular. Wish I were there.

Was sick over the weekend. Got a really bad headache on Sunday and mum wanted to take me up to the ED/ER as my doc was already gone for the day. Given they weren't going to offer me a shot to the head to put me out of my misery I declined the offer :lmao: :rotfl:
Drugs finally kicked in in the arvo...

Work is the same ol.......

Drama continues with DBF. Things are ok in essence....it's just trying to get him to come out and visit. But there's always something going on :sad2:
He and his parents are like chalk and cheese (and should he need anything they wouldn't help) but he's now stuck in the middle of a fight between them and his sister and nephew :headache: Long story....but he won't be speaking to the sister again and this saga could go for a while.....

How's things down south? Always chasing that scavenger hunt! :lmao:
You enjoying the start of school hols?

School hols are always a busy time here. I took DS into town to see the Lego exhibition yesterday. Working as normal over the hols. DS is booked into the CSIRO tomorrow for science experiments. I hope to take him out somewhere on Thursday afternoon and Friday he is spending the day with DH.

Next week....who knows?

Scavenger hunt keeps me busy but it also helps me see and learn more of Melbourne rather than staying at home.

Hope DBF gets out to visit sometime.

Alison - here's that Tuna Pasta Salad. I'm also going to be posting it up on WFDT thread...

My starting ingredients:

2011July4002.jpg

  • Pasta, about 100g per person. Spirals work best but I used Rigatoni for this
  • Crab stick or seafood extender, about 100g per person
  • Canned Cream Corn, 1 tin
  • Young Cut Corn, 1 tin – drained
  • Tuna, in brine or springwater, 1 tin – drained
  • Mayonnaise – to taste. I used normal mayonnaise for this meal but trust me – this recipe is much better if you use Soya Mayonnaise instead.
  • Salt and Pepper

Cook the pasta as per instruction.

Open all the tins and put all the other ingredients into a large salad bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

When the pasta is cooked, drain and immediately transfer to the bowl. Add the mayonnaise to taste.

Mix until all the ingredients have combined. You can serve this salad warm or cold.

That looks good, perhaps once life mellows out I will start cooking again and join the WFD thread.

And that's why there's no point investing time following a trial put forward by the prosecution despite largely circumstantial evidence........

Lol...just my facebook feed is aflutter with 'how could they' 'I'm so upset'
What you know and what you can prove are two very different things.
Just wonder how much this whole thing cost. And now the one who will make a fortune is the accused selling her story...

Ahh...love the legal system...
