It's still hot. I'm going out this weekend. Was supposed to go to the renaissance faire on Sunday for my friend's birthday, but I don't have the money. It's just... One of those days.

I've seen pictures of other people going to a RenFaire. How much does an outing to one of those things normally cost?

Over here, we don't do RenFaires the way it seems to be done in the US. But we have street festivals and for the 3 of us to go and spend 3 - 4 hours at a street festival, we could easily walk out of there about $50 poorer....and that would be a cheap afternoon.

The ticket is $20, plus I'd have to buy lunch there at some point, so probably looking at $30-35, not including any souvenirs I'd want to buy. I really want to go in costume, though

Okay. We don't have admission to the street fairs because they are usually in a strip shopping street and the traders want to encourage everyone to come.

yeah...the costume thing is the one that costs $$.

Yeah, the Bristol Faire isn't a street fair. They own land that houses permanent structures for the faire every summer. This is their opening weekend, and they go through Labor Day (I think).

It's school holidays so I told my friend that I would see her after the holidays were over. Turns out I could have met her today. DS stayed over at my mother's last night. I have a massage to go to in about 30 minutes.
