My dinner!
I started with these ingredients.
You make a cold roue by mixing the plain flour with the stock. I've used vegetable stock because DH doesn't eat meat; but chicken is the standard stock used. I start with about 2 tablespoons (heaped) of flour per person.
I end up with the consistency equal to a crepe or pancake mix....and then add an egg per person.
Because I can be a lazy sort of person, I get the coleslaw mix from the supermarket. This one includes corn (kernels, not creamed), celery and spring onions.
For added protein, I've decided to use the seafood extender or seafood stick tonight. I had some in my freezer.
Mix everything together...
And then fry in a low to medium hot pan.
Cook for about 7 - 10 minutes on each side, depending on how high you pile the pancake up. The hard bit is flipping it over!
I bought Okonomiyaki sauce and kewpie mayonnaise from my local Japanese shop.
You'll need them to put on top of the okonomiyaki.
ENJOY!
