Last seating for CM, any suggestions ?

We just made PS for CM 2/21 but the only time available was at 9:15, which is the last seating for the night. We are a party of 9. though. I am afraid that we won't get the character interaction as much as if we were there earlier. Has anyone been there late and are we going to be missing fun ?

Well, if you want me to be honest... We were at CM last July and we didn't make PS and just went late thinking it would be ok. We ended being seated a little after 9. We were not very pleased.. They didn't seem to be putting out as much food, and what was there seemed picked over... The servers, while pleasant, seemed rushed and the character interaction was substantially less than it had been the year before when we DID make PS and were seated around 6PM... We may have been there on an off night, who knows. I do know my wife and I commented that we would not go back to a character buffet that late again, as we didn't feel we got our value for the price. It wasn't bad enough for us to say never again, but never again at that time. Maybe things will be different for you?

We had the latest breakfast seating last March and loved it!!!!! We were one of the last ones to leave so we pretty much had mickey and friends to ourselves. Usually you are greeted by one character at a time - which we were. but as people left, the characters continued rotating and came back to our table again and again. LOTS of fun interaction with chip, dale and pluto especially. Also usually you get a picture of kids with one character at a time. as we were leaving all of them ( mickey, mimmie, pluto , chip, dale and goofy were standing TOGETHER ready for a group picturewith dd.A great Picture! I would not hesitate to take a late seating- you never know what could happen. Have Fun!

Maybe they changed the rules when we were there?? The characters left the dining room at 9:30 and never came back. Maybe they do things differently based on the crowds and stuff?

I would think last seating for breakfast would bring ineraction, but last seating for dinner would not. I think that there are 2 different scenarios being discussed here.

Thanks for the ideas, I thought the same thing. I think that dinner that late won't be that great !! I guess they are all tired and would like to head home.

I don't think I would want the last seating at dinner either. I DO think you should keep trying every day until your trip and even once you get there to get a different time. You never know what may open up. Good luck!

Why don't you try to make your ps for a party of 4 and a party of 5? I'll bet you can get a better time if you don't mind the possibility of being split up.
