You sound just like I would be. I would not quit being nervous until I was actually moving into the house.

DH is opposite, very laid back. Oh well, if they don't accept our offer we'll find another house, if the financing falls through we'll find another lender, and I'm like - Are you nuts! Aren't you worried?? :lmao:

Sounds like our DH are the same!!! DH is never worried:rotfl: He's just excited to be going FT-even as you said it is a goofy shift-nothing like working 6-12hr shifts in a row-yucky!!!!

Will that be a permanent shift for him or just until another shift opens up? I can see being able to do it for a while but if he had to look forward to doing it "forever" I think it would get pretty hard.

It was fine. I took them since I had an appointment for bloodwork. But since I don't have to go to town early in the morning today, tomorrow or Friday my friend that was taking them has offered to take them for the rest of the week! :cool1: She's been great. She works as a teacher's aid at the school so she's going anyway. She just goes a little earlier than we usually do but the boys don't mind and she's in the special ed dept so A.J. just hangs out with her and she keeps an eye on him for the little extra time before school starts.

I'm am finally starting to feel back to normal. I am so greatful that I ended up getting these two extra weeks off because it has really made a difference. And it's made a difference in my attitude as well. I feel that I'm going to be ready both physically and mentally to go back to work at the end of the month.

I am really glad to hear you are getting back to your old self again.

Kim - I worry alot too and my DH is like if it falls thru we find a different one, no big deal to him. :sad2:

I really hope they accept your offer or just come back with a small counter.

I know just about everyone's been keeping up with the VA Tech story. Here's a link to a slideshow put together if anyone's interested:

(After you get to that page just click on the link "click here for slideshow of images" - don't worry, nothing graphic or anything like that.)

It's just so scary that something like this can happen. :sad2:

I think I'm going to go back to bed for a little while....but I've promised myself not for the day! :lmao: Too much to do today. I plan to get a lot of cleaning done. See you all later.

It is very sad. Did you see the speech.

I took this from a friends signature. My friend is a VT Graduate.

“We are Virginia Tech. We are sad today and we will be sad for quite awhile. WE are not moving on, we are embracing our mourning. We are Virginia Tech. We are strong enough to know when to cry and sad enough to know we must laugh again. We are Virginia Tech. We do not understand this tragedy. We know we did not deserve it but neither does a child in Africa dying of AIDS, but neither do the invisible children walking the night to avoid being captured by a rogue army. Neither does the baby elephant watching his community be devastated for ivory; neither does the Appalachian infant in the killed in the middle of the night in his crib in the home his father built with his own hands being run over by a boulder because the land was destabilized. No one deserves a tragedy. We are Virginia Tech. The Hokier Nation embraces our own with open heart and hands to those who offer their hearts and minds. We are strong and brave and innocent and unafraid. We are better than we think, not quite what we want to be. We are alive to the imagination and the possibility we will continue to invent the future through our blood and tears, through all this sadness. We are the Hokies. We will prevail, we will prevail. We are Virginia Tech. "~ Nikki Giovanni, 4/17/07

I had seen the speech. Very moving. I wish the speech writer had reached out to families in some way though, rather than just focusing on VT and how they would endure this tragedy.

Still here (I was just finishing up something else on the computer) but now I'm outta here!! See ya!

I'm right behind you Kathy-I work tonight and I've been awake since 4:30am(even though I didn't go to bed til 12:30) so a nap is in my immediate future too!!!

Sleep well Kim!

I am back up. Slept a little longer than expected. I had even set the alarm but the power went out! :lmao: Someone must have know I needed to sleep a little longer than what I had set the alarm for!

DH is just now getting up for work since his alarm didn't go off either! :lmao: I guess he'll be working late tonight to make up for going in so late!
