 here's a hug for ya kathy!

and a WOOO HOOO for Lissa! a solo is a big deal!:yay:

Just as I finished typing my last post Matthew came in the house and came to kitchen doorway and said, "Mom..."

I glanced up and said, "I thought I told you to change out of your good shoes and your school pants before you went out."

And he just stood there and said, "Uh, Mom..."

So I took another look. Oooops, sorry Matthew, I didn't realize you were standing there dripping blood! :sad2: I'm sure a good mom, aren't I.

Anyway, he wiped out on gravel on his bike. We just started letting him go "around the block" on his bike yesterday. Mind you, here in the country around the block is over 1/2 a mile, 1/2 paved road and 1/2 gravel road with a massive hill included on the gravel part! :lmao:

This is the worst he's ever banged himself up but at least it's home-treatable :teeth: no ER visit.

:wave2: Hi Tracy

Not that I think this is a good idea Kathy, but having children is such a *HUGE* eye opener too. just the cost of childcare/healthcare is enough to make someone faint...

I spent most of last night up with DD with a fever...then it went down so she is at Mama's today, but I was so lucky that Mama could watch her and that I could have taken off work if I needed to since my boss is understanding..but still went in tired and went to 3 stores on my lunch looking for the medicine she likes and still didn't find it :sad2: . I guess sometimes you don't appreciate all a mom does until you are a mom :)

I don't want to rush DD for kids, 'cause I know she's no where near ready, that's for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if she never has kids.

But I honestly know that that will be the only way she'll finally start to understand what moms (and dads) really do and what kind of love it is.

I'm sorry your DD is sick. Hope she's feeling much better today! :wizard: And sorry you couldn't find the medicine she likes. It may not make any difference in the way she really feel but it's probably one of those comfort things just having the kind she likes!

thanks, I just called Mama and so far today no fever...just sniffles :wizard: I usually buy it at a store near her school...so I will just have to make a special trip there since I couldn't find it in town. She is really hard to give medicine too, so if I find this children's thing I will probable buy 2 or 3 boxes. :teeth:

Poor Kid! I'd still vote for ya to get mom of the year though:thumbsup2

Hey Lyn! how ya been lately?

Nothing really new here Kathy, just the same old same old. I did run into an old friend not too long ago, :rotfl: that's about all the new stuff going on with me, but since it's an old friend is that old then?:rotfl:

oh yeah, I guess there is something new. my "grandpa" passed yesterday, so his funeral will be Wed.

stinky's 10 and she still hates grape or cherry medicine.

are you ready for your trip Tracy? your ticker is getting closer :goodvibes

 I am so sorry Tracy

thanks Lyn:goodvibes It may be selfish, but i'm really not looking forward to going. I don't want to see my "dad" there, but i'm pretty sure it's gonna happen. Plus like I said I've never been close to that side of the family at all so I feel akward around them, AND my mom has to work and can't get the day off, so I'm gonna have to go with my brother and sil :scared1:
