I cleaned the kitchen counter yesterday and got rid of almost everything that was on it. Including the big bulky radio. Now, I love what it looks like, but miss my morning music and news while I do dishes/laundry/cook etc.

I am going to have to look into one of those under counter things. I've seen them with iPods too. But I think I would rather have one with a cd slot instead.

I NEED more counter space. A LOT More.

I dropped my car off for brakes this morning. Well they just called me with the price. Of course it needs something else. DARN CAR MAINTENANCE! $375 for brakes. Too bad I REALLY NEED THEM.

I dropped my car off for brakes this morning. Well they just called me with the price. Of course it needs something else. DARN CAR MAINTENANCE! $375 for brakes. Too bad I REALL NEED THEM.

dh got his window fixed on Monday (remember it wouldn't go back up). It cost us $290. Almost all of that was labor.. $82 an hour. It took them 4 hours to figure out what was wrong with it (the wire was twisted up or something like that) but thank goodness they are honest!!

The "book" only lets them charge for 2 hours of labor for that kind of problem, no matter how long it takes them to find it. They could have easily charged us for 4 hours of labor to untwist the wire. DH went ahead and let them change his transmission fluid so they could have something else to charge for. He felt bad that they guy worked for so long on it.

Yep it really does stink.

You guys are lucky to have someone that was honest to work on your car. We have had a couple of problems with people not being totally honest with us on things.

And come to find out a company that did my brakes before was totally ripping people off and it was on the news and everything. They would tell you that you needed things that you didn't really need. And if you didn't have them fix it they would make sure that things went wrong so that you eneded up coming back to have them fix it.

It was a MESS!!
