I just got back....long story, but DH's cousin called since he needed advice...so I help him. Then, he says that his classmate (a woman a year younger than me who just started working here, but a different area) has a dog that looks EXACTLY like our dogs. He said she got him from the pound!!!!! I e-mail her saying I would love to see a photo and that is cool they picked him up, at least he has a good home, etc. She comes to my office and we chat about the dog. Turns out she had him over 2 years and he is digging holes etc. in their yard, has been getting out of the fence, etc. and so her husband doesn't want to keep the dog anyone and her sons are so upset. So, I go with her to look at the dog and YES!!!! he is diffently from our first litter. I think we named him Stripe and gave him to our friends that have cattle. He had a pellet stuck on his skull, so I think that maybe he got lost on a cattle drive, ended up in some trouble and then the pound. He was so sweet and mellow, I felt really bad for him being in that little yard. I left a message for DH to call me. If she can't keep the dog, I think we would take him back w/ us after we return from our trip. I told her that I couldn't take her other dog at all....with Stripe, we know his breeding/tempment and he seemed really good, so DH would have to check that he would be safe for our kids....but I won't take the other dog. Well see how it goes...I am fixing both my girls when we get home from our trip....Copper will be just at the right age at the end of May. Stripe is already fixed, so that part is good.

so did we ever pick a date for our cruise? :confused3
well, I called my DSis and she said to set aside two weeks in June...so that would be 10 days off of work for me. I also talked to DH about cancelling October and saving our airline miles and days off for March....plus talked about the heat and humidity. He DOESN'T want to cancel. He told me that we should see how our trip next week goes and then decide whether we want to come back in October or not. So, I am not sure if I can go, I need to check on how many days off I can take if we are gone 5 days in October and 10 in June.....but if we did go I think we would be doing the 4 day in March 25, 2007, and probable a couple days before and after at WDW so that our flights would be doable. I don't think a 7 day is in our plans...it would definitely cut it too close on our flights since they start on Saturdays.

::yes:: I hope it works out. It would be nice if they could keep him. She seemed really devestated that her DH said they need to find a new home for the dog, but I can understand where he is coming from if the dogs keep getting out of their yard. She was so happy that I knew he was from us....I could feel her praying for the dog to be good while I was there :lmao: She has two kids that are the same age as mine so she knew that if he seemed naughty I wouldn't take him

Maybe we should plan for 2008 :teeth:
