good morning everyone

just a quick hello today... Brandon is starting off at Madison adn Travis' school today and we're all a little nervous here.

I need to finish getting everyone ready. A friend from work is going to watch Griffin for me so that I can be with Brandon. She is a young single mom who lives paycheck to paycheck so I want to make sure that I am paying her well, but not break my bank too

She's going to watch him for ~3.5 hours a day for 3 days.. do you think $50 is fair??

I do!!! I do!!! Mondays are great!! just had to rub it in since everyone says TGIF!!!! and I work every Friday and have off every Monday

Thanks ...today, she didn't look as good as yesterday, but she is staying the night in the hospital....which I think is good. I was there in the morning, then midday I met DH and his family and we did some family stuff and then went back to the hospital. My Mom may be released tomorrow...I offered for her to stay with me, but she didn't want too...she wants to go home. I hope when she goes home she rests...but I doubt it since my DSis and her family live with my parents right now and my DSis can be somewhat selfish and lazy....I really hope she picks it up and my Mom isn't watching her kids and cleaning up after everyone....oh well, I can't force her to come with me.

I did do some grocery shopping for her on my way home...she will need to be on a liquid diet for a while

Good to hear she is doing better and will probably be going home soon. But I don't like the sounds of her going home to the FULL house of selfish people. It should be ALL ABOUT HER right now.

Yes I think that's a fair wage Liz>4.76/hr for babysitting not too bad

Yep! and my DSis here keeps saying she is o.k. and doesn't seem to need any help I shouldn't be so negative...but I about flipped today that she called my Mom, who is really out of it, to complain about some stuff she had going on and then my Mom said she may be calling me to help her...I think to watch her kids....HELLO! my DH was watching my kids so I could be with my Mom...and I was walking up early and staying up late to take care of family stuff and tried to be w/ my family inbetween the hospital...and she probable wanted me to watch her kids...

I don't blame you for flipping out. I would have.

Sounds like your Dsis wants her to be okay so she can still take care of her kids.

That is what I am so worried about...and is the #1 reason I wanted my Mom here...I did talk to my other DSis that doesn't live here...she knows how things are and I am hoping she will talk to my Mom.

Maybe you other Dsis can talk to your Mom and make her understand that she needs to worry about herself and take care of herself so that she can continue to be there for people when they need her. But that is going to take some time to feel 100% better.

I really hope he has a better day and that this is the solution he needs. Wishing him the BEST OF LUCK TODAY!!!!

That is a little less than $5.00 an hour. Not to bad if you ask me.

Well we made it through the storms. It was a little bumpy. Some areas in Tennessee were not as lucky as we were. thoughts and prayers out to all those who lost homes and loved ones. I believe their was a lost of 18 people during the storms. There were either 5 or 8 (or somewhere between there) counties confirmed that were hit by tornados. I think the town south of us were hit hard, they cancled schools in that town.

Kentucky was also hit hard. (did not want to leave them out in our prayers)
