This is a strange work week....today is kinda like Friday

I wish! I work today, tomorrow and Thursday! Not sure yet about Friday! No July 4th off for me!

Our church has a community picnic and fireworks for the community. It started about five years ago with a church picnic and a few little fireworks. It has grown to include the entire community...and beyond. We have bbq pork sandwiches, cole slaw, baked potatoes and dessert. It's at the school/community park. There is a huge tent for the music. And then it ends with a large fireworks show. (We have to get a permit for the fireworks.) The nice thing is - everything is free!!! It's just a way to bring people together.

And I always work it, helping with the food. It starts at 6 and I work until 4 tomorrow so I should have just enough time to get home and change. And DH always is there to help with security - along with several of the deputies that he gets to go.

DD called me last night to tell me that Bath & Body Works is having their semi-annual "blow-out." I think I'll take a run over to the mall after work to see what I can find. My favorite, Night Blooming Jasmine, has been discontinued so maybe I'll be lucky and find some of that on a clearance sale!
