And I actually have two jobs-This one in the ICU and then my fun job in a small local hospital Neonatal ICU-which isn't usuallly busy,so I get to float out to the Mom and Baby floor-That is a great thing-love those newborns :cloud9: They smell so good-I get to enjoy them and then give them back to their Mommies
When I had DS, I was so protective and didn't trust the people at the hospital...I always wanted him in my room. When I had DD, I was sooooo tired from being pregnant and taking care of an 18 month old...plus my friend was an RN on shift at the maternity ward....one night I called her and asked her to take DD to the nursery to sleep there....I was like, please take her, I am so tired

Well we are going to have an early christmas with them. we are traveling to my mom's the weekend before and they will be going with us and then we are going to have a little something for them here at home. I will miss them dearly and i will worry about the. I think dad is still on drugs but he is passing he drug screen through the dept of children services. so we will just have to wait and see. if he is a good daddy then they will be ok... if not they will be back!
you must have the heart of an angel....I don't think I would be able to let go.....

The Mom I had last night was very protective too-but I have to take them out for about 15 minutes to check them out and weigh them-The baby was so fussy the Mom couldn't get her to sleep-when I brought her back she was sound asleep and slept for 3 hrs for the poor tired Mom(she even callled me to thank me for finally getting her baby to sleep)I love that part of my job :cloud9:

It is hard sometimes. we had a 5 day old baby that we were told that the parents where probably not going to get her back so we raised her for 11 months and then she goes back home... it broke our hearts...it hit my DH harder than it did me. you have to keep in the back of your mind... they will go home one day, but when they have been with you for a year it is hard.

:rotfl2: That's funny, because I am sick...but DH and I usually half the parenting, so I have to be honest and say this isn't the first time :rotfl2: I think my Aleve is starting to kick in though....I can hear DS talking and talking to DH so they are still up.
