does your parrot bit-or is it a nice birdie, seems like most parrots chose one person it likes and the rest can bug off
DH's co-worker gave it as a gift. He brought it to DS's birthday party...to my surprise. He told DH at work and DH didn't say anything. I told DH next time you say something! But it is a nice cockateil since co-worker's mom raises them and she hand feeds them.

My understanding is that pig are naturally clean, they wallow in mud to stay cool...I think. So, when DH used to have a pet pig when he was younger, I think it was more like a dog than how you would picture a pig.

OT...DS was playing with piggie and he started to purr. I told DS, "wow, he really loves you" and then I looked again and I think piggie was getting ready to be.....too lovin' :earseek: and roamed away. This was the first time I saw that...I need to watch him. He is getting older though...he must be about 3 or 4 months old...yikes.

Oh that would nice to explain- :rotfl: piggie loves you but watch out!!!!

i forgot add that our bird is jealous of the guinea pig :sad2:

oh no....I am so not ready to explain that....when our dog had puppies we had to relive the BF moments he had forgotten since DD was born.

When are you moving? Is it when your oldest is out of highschool? are you moving near your in-laws?

We plan on moving next summer-oldest ds should graduate by then???? If not we are moving anyways :rotfl: We should already be there-but DS decided to screw up his life and fail too many classes so he couldn't graduate-such a pain in the butt child when he wants to be

WOW, you sound really ready to move. Are you moving to a town you or DH are familiar with? seems like a big move.

I am totally not ready for teenagers either...or preteens for that matter

We are definately ready-especially since it's already cold outside here in Wisconsin. I picked an area that is as close to where we live now-about 2hrs south of DH family-they live way too country for me and the shock would too much for my kids!!!!

I hope we like the area-we plan on checking it out in person in Dec on our way back from Disney-I found a great subdivision with great homes, and many of the same conviences we have now(stores/restraurants) so I pray it works out

We tryed living in NC when we 1st got out of the Army and it was too much-we lived in a house that was half broken down and dirty-I cleaned three rooms(Kitch/living bedroom w/bath) and sealed off the rest-it was bad so we ended up moving back to Wisconsin

DH wants a comute less than 30 minutes to his work-The airport!!! and Atlanta traffic is one of the worse in the country!!! so the area I found is as close to the city as I want to get!!!! We currently live about the same distance from Milwaukee

I just hope this works out-DKids aren't too thrilled about leaving they're friends. But, understand why we want to move and they really love when we are down south complain about having to come back to Wisconsin and the cold

I hope you like it too. I lived though 4 winters in Indiana....I loved the changes of the seasons but I always thought it would be tough to be sick and cold and still have to drive in the snow, the kids can't play outside as much, being elderly and being in the snow...just didn't seem the right thing for me... But snow is fun...to visit. :teeth:

Kids are tough, hopefully they will adjust fine. Are you moving at the start of summer or just before school starts. Also, you are forgetting the MOST IMPORTANT thing about moving....

you can DIS anywhere ;)

True true-I can dis from anywhere :rotfl:

We are moving about a month before school starts if all goes well with the sale of our home-It's a great neighborhood and this house is a nice starter home plus it's right on a golf course all woods and ponds-so it's really quiet

But..... this house was built in the early 70's and needs some TLC-we already have done some but it still needs a little more work-we plan on putting it on the market in Mar-Apr with a closing date of June 15th or July 1st-DKids get out of school on June 8th-and Atlanta area schools start in Aug 1-2 week-we just hope it goes as planned and we find a seller-We almost moved about 5 yrs ago,but the house didn't sell and we ended up reconsidering everything
