Last minute trip!

OK,OK I know DVC is not for last minute planners....this is why we bought in..I love to plan. Just purchased DVC in late March, have next March trip booked and just waiting till Nov to plan Oct '11ths trip. But...DH and I will be celebrateing our 20th wedding anniversary this Sept 1st. He said "lets go away without the kids" We've never done this before, alway have taken the kids with us. So here I am looking at something local, maybe Niagara Falls (we go atleast 1 time per year) but the cost of this type of stay would be more than our plane tickets to MCO. If we could get a good flight what do you think the chances of getting a Monday to Thursday stay. Our home resort is OKW so we would love to get that but would only need a studio. Any advice appreciated

You're chances of getting something at OKW are very good. I just got three nights at BWV's in a studio at 33 days out. SSR and OKW were also available.

It sounds like SSR and OKW usually have something available and since you are looking at a studio there may be availabilities at other resorts.

Thank you, and an early Happy Birthday! Never even thought about going anywhere other than OKW but if it all works out maybe it would be our chance to look at a few other resorts. So far no luck with the flights

But will keep trying. Not sure if I can go without the kids though. Haven't gotten into the "just us" mentality yet. I know I will get there though, after all that was why we bought into DVC...more for us than the kids as DD's are 12 and 17.

i just booked for NEXT WEEK about 10 days ago and i had to wait list one of the days but i got a 7 day split stay with SSR and AKV. we only mannaged to get AKV for 2 of the days but i'm still happy that all of our time won't be at SSR!
