Last minute trip, transportation from SNA

Lazy Dog, yes. I've eaten at a couple of them (not the one on Katella). Good variety, Asian fusion meets Comfort food is how I would describe it.
I wouldn't describe it as Asian fusion at ALL. Yes, there are some Asian inspired dishes, as well as Mexican options, but the menu is predominantly American comfort food. It's all just so good, though. It's our family's favorites restaurant. We have one in our town. Their beer is great as well.

Their prices look really good, will you please report back with your experience?

Just wanted to pop in and say I have used them going TO LAX a couple times, and was pleased with the service. You can text with them in real-time to confirm your booking, and the communication with your assigned driver starts the night before.

Yeah, it’s definitely American food + beer, lol

We mostly like going to our local Lazy Dog bc we can bring our dogs 🐶 hehe

We are going on Friday and just booked with www.executivecarservicelax.com - it's about $80 each way (John Wayne to the DLH) for 4 of us. I prefer the certainty of having something pre-booked as well :)
Just got back from our trip, and wanted to give these guys a shout out, especially since we booked very last minute - it was $84 +tip each way (from SNA) for private transport in an SUV (Suburban one way, BMW X5 for the return) for the four of us. Communication was clear and easy and the drivers texted the night before as well as the morning of to make sure there were no issues. Drivers were very professional and the cars were immaculate. Will def be using them again. I prefer having something pre-arranged and not dealing with ride share for these sorts of trips where timing can be an issue, and it was considerably cheaper then renting a car and paying for parking at the hotel, even just for the 3 nights we stayed.

uber/lyft from sna is cheap and quick, I wouldnt do anything else

Me either. SNA is a short trip to DL area, and I certainly wouldn't rent a car for that or hire an expensive service. Renting a car means parking fees too (since most hotels seem to charge for that now, sigh).

We didn't have the greatest Lyft experience when we flew in last Friday. We went to level 3 of the parking garage as the signage and the app indicated and requested a Lyft.

The driver apparently clicked "I'm here" on their end when they were parked at the arrivals area and called to ask why we weren't there (it was supposed to be a "Christopher" and the picture was clearly of a man but the phone voice very much sounded like a woman). I told her that we were where the app told us to be and she said she would find us there. I watched her on the app circle around the airport three times apparently unsuccesfully trying to find the entrance to the parking garage before I cancelled and requested another Lyft. I got charged the $5 fee and even though I disputed it I still haven't gotten my money back.

The second driver was able to find us after one missed attempt at the parking garage but she was clearly unfamiliar with both SNA and the route to Disneyland. She didn't use the carpool lane at all and we were sitting in traffic when we could have been cruising in the carpool lane.

All in all, I think we were delayed 20-30 minutes vs. just taking a taxi and the final cost savings was $5 versus a flat-rate taxi (and maybe no cost savings at all if I don't get my $5 cancellation fee back).

My brother arrived later in the day at rush hour and had a smooth experience, but he ended up paying more ($52 plus tip) than a flat-rate taxi would have been.

Wow, that happened to us last Friday at SNA too! We were right where the airport told us to be and the first driver wasn’t there and then cancelled our ride (even though we were trying to contact her). And then the second guy barely found us. He thought it was funny that we were telling him we were on level 3 (because it was a different level at the entrance, I guess?) until we pointed out the big “3” on the pillars.

In contrast, we had booked a car service to return because we left so early on Monday. Car was there a couple of minutes early, no problems at all.

That's the only thing, you just have to hope they have experience with SNA. I think most do. We've never had a problem. We took an Uber from SNA a week ago (4/20) and the driver was clearly familiar with the layout. We ordered it right when we got our bags at the claim, and he was about 10 minutes out. It cost just about $35 to Desert Inn, plus tip. He jumped right into the carpool lane and we were there, I think, in 25 minutes. I've also frequently taken Uber or Lyft back to the airport.

We were visiting my daughter up in the Beverly-Fairfax area of WeHo from Friday-Monday, and used MidWilShuttle to get up there, and then back again to SNA to fly out. That's more of a questionable trip right through rush hour, and we didn't want to worry about whether a rideshare would pick up. MidWil did a nice job, albeit expensive. It was $155 up there on Friday, and $180 back down to SNA Monday morning (we needed to fly back out of SNA; we can get a direct flight to the smaller airport near our house). I found that I could text MidWil directly and they would offer real-time updates-- I called first, and they texted back a minute later saying, "Hi, this is MidWilShuttle, do you need a ride?" So when I was letting them know we were ready a bit early for pickup the next trip, I just texted that number and they said, "Great, your rider is staging nearby, we'll tell her to come over." The number is (213)221-9393.

Didn't you just tell her she could use the carpool lane?

She seemed like a really nervous driver and was having issues with lane changes (and even figuring out how to exit the parking garage). It didn't seem like it was in our best interest to try and encourage her to navigate across the lanes to the carpool lane -- an accident would have held us up far longer.

So she was just a ****ty driver then. Sucks! I've never gotten anyone like that, thankfully.

Doesn’t sound like that person should be driving for Lyft. Hope you gave her a low rating and reported her to Lyft.

Taxi from SNA to Disney is my preferred transportation because they are easy at SNA and I think have a flat rate. And I'm not a fan of cabs most places.....
