Planning a last minute trip for this summer! Will there be much of a difference in heat and/or crowds next week (first week in June) vs. the last week in July/first week in August? Haven’t done Disney in the summer since I was a kid myself.

It might be a little less crowded next week because northern schools are still in session. We have school until 6/12. Heat is the same. You will probably have a better selection of fast passes at the end of July.

Staying on site? Have you looked at rooms that are available and pricing?

Downside of June is you will need to stalk the FP booking system a little more.

I know people say it's a little slower in June but this year August might be weird with people moving up or canceling trips that month with Star Wars opening.

The heat is about the same---but I would plan for July/August over a trip that is in a week. You will be more likely to get better fast passes and even dining reservations. That said, if you aren't planning on eating at some of the harder to get places like the character dining at Artist Point or dinner at Ohana and don't want to ride some of the harder to get rides like Slinky Dog then you might be fine doing a last minute trip in June. I would check rates for hotels and see what prices out better.

As far as heat goes, I feel that we are more acclimated to the hot Florida weather in August since it usually been hot where we live for a few months by then. Plus June can be more rainy in FL.
