Okay so we're heading south on Wednesday and are only going to be there that day. Right now we're going to Sprinkles cupcakes, and Pinks. Can anyone recommend some other 'tourist' type activities in that area that we can do as a family? There's dh, me, dd (7), dd (5), and ds (3).

TIA

Not sure if you guys would be interested in going to the Santa Monica pier. 3rd street promenade. You could also do Walk of Fame. If you guys are into art, the Getty is a great muesum.

Thanks Stacie. We're going to the LA Farmer's Market, still not sure what else. Guess I'll be using our GPS to see what's near where we are and go from there. All depends on how well the kids are behaving and how we're feeling with the heat.

Steph,

Have you thought about taking them to the La Brea tarpits? Those are very close to Farmers Market.

You might also think about going to the observatory. They have lazarium shows there that you all might enjoy. (And what do you mean by Sprinkle cupcakes?)

The Santa Monica Pier is a good choice, as well as the Museum of Natural History.

Make sure you guys go hungry to the Farmer's Market. There are so many goodies there.

I didn't realize the La Brea tarpits were so close. But after today I've convinced Josh that we need to return to the Farmers Market. We all had a nice time there.

As for Sprinkles Cupcakes, here's their website: www.sprinkles.com They are very tasty. I've seen them on TV before and thought we ought to try them out. They were worth the trip. :thumbsup2

If you like crepes, the crepe stand is wonderful.

Next to the Farmers Market is The Grove. It's worth a visit.
