Just wanted to share what happened fri night. (3/22) My daughter and 3 friends are in FL on spring break. College age group looking for good time. She left a message on my ans machine that she was driving to PI and wasn't sure where to stay overnight. When I got home from work I called her (love those cell phones), she was about 1.5 hours from WDW, 6:30PM EST. I first tried to find a nice suite hotel, free breakfast, close to DD. Either they were sold out or $150 and up. I thought I would take a chance with Disney so I called CRO. The agent was wonderful. They had a room available at ASMO!
inkbounc The rate was alittle higher than what the group wanted to pay but I knew that they would take cabs to PI, so that would save them. I told the agent I would have to check with the group, he agreed to keep working on my reservation while I called on another phone
I really wish I would have his name, the call took a little time but he was so patient and friendly.
I could not believe my luck, yes the rate was peak season, no discount, but to get them into ASMO it was worth it. I have heard back from them that they loved the resort, and had a great time at PI. They shopped at the gift shop at ASMO and bought all kinds of things. She was so excited and now wants to go back. Her friend bought a refillable mug at the foodcourt, he said that $10 was high, yes for one day it would be, but he just had to have it. By the way they stayed in Mighty Ducks. I'm sure I will hear more when they get back, and I can't wait!

Has anyone else been able to get a last minute reservation, did you ever get a discount when doing this?
