We leave in two weeks! WOW! I have a few last minute packing questions.

1) Do I need an extra fine Sharpie or a fine Sharpie for autograph books?

2) Dh wants real coffee. What do I buy - do they provide filter and I just bring coffee for the coffee maker in the room or do I need to find some of those filter with coffee in them packs?

3) Should we hats or is it going to be a pain to take them off for every ride? Our heads sunburn easily.

4) I am not packing fans or anything like that to deal with the heat. We will have a sit down TS lunch everyday. After 104 here everyday this summer (TX) I am thinking that 90 sounds like a cold front. Am I wrong? I have been to FL before and it did not seem that hot to me.

Thanks!

LOL I had to laugh when I saw you are leaving in 2 weeks! Last minute packing in our house means the plane leaves in 3 hours and we are taking the clothes from the dryer and putting them in the suitcase!

We don't drink coffee nor have we ever taken hats or fans with us and we usually travel in June, July and August so I can't help you there, but I would take the great big sharpies for the characters to use for autographs. Its easier for them to grip the big ones.

hats are not a big deal. I only take mine off on a rollercoaster and Test Track so maybe 5 rides in all of WDW. A misting fan is up to you. I might pick one up at the dollar store if I were you to save yourself from spending $18 on the park one when your kids see it.
We've always just used a pen for autograph books and it has been fine.
Where are you staying? I think some resorts provide coffee makers in the rooms but some don't.

We are staying at POFQ. They have coffee makers but I read that the coffee packs they come with are awful. Do I just bring grounds/filters or do I need those special filter packs like the hotels have with the grounds in them?

You can pack the coffee and filters...it is a regular coffee pot.
A regular sharpie would be best.
My husband wears hats on most rides without issue...so if you think it wil prevent your heads from burning, bring them.
Have Fun!!!

Yes the coffee packets they give you are aweful and no they do not supply coffee filters we always bring ours.. just get the circle regular ones.. Yes you definetly need hats we have gone this time for 3 years straight and that is a necessity. and like the other pp said get fans at walmart (spray water and fans) for $6.00 they work great.. or the small ones at the dollar store are good too.. If you burn easily bring some aloe as we forgot it last year and had to run and buy it.. also get some sugar packets (they only give you 2) we leave in 6 days :banana::cool1: we are staying at Fort Wilderness cabins :banana: have a great time I know we will:lmao::banana::banana::cool1:

We used a regularr pen. So no help here

Not sure where you are staying but ASMu you got nothing for coffee. We brought our own coffee and travel cup coffee presses. We bought refillable mugs and got creamer for our coffee that way.

I would bring a hat most rides had a storage compartment type area for storing stuff.

Havent been to Texas but here in Indiana we ran the same temp as florida BUT the humidity is UNREAL like a solid wall of air. My family was loving our water fan. We filled it with ice and the ice melted in a matter of minutes (literally!)
Thanks!

You remind me of my OC mom! Well, isn't all moms like that? LOL.

Back to topic,

Ordinary pens and markers will do! Just choose the best paper to be signed.

2) Dh wants real coffee. What do I buy - do they provide filter and I just bring coffee for the coffee maker in the room or do I need to find some of those filter with coffee in them packs?
Better bring coffee sachets (and creamers! )-just to be sure.

3) Should we hats or is it going to be a pain to take them off for every ride? Our heads sunburn easily.
I'm not sire about this, wearing hats during a ride might be kind of disturbing, it might fall!

Have a good time and take a whole lot of pictures!

My family to! That was my first thought when I read this, must be leaving in a few hours, I've been know to stop at a store on the way to the airport and to pack wet clothes 'cause I didn't get the last load dry in time. LOL

I would take coffee and filters if you have a pot because all housekeeping would have available would be the packets they leave you they wouldn't have loose filters.

The coffee pots take the smaller filters (4 cup size). I bring my own coffee & filters, too, because I'm usually up by 4 a.m. at the latest & I want my coffee asap. Have a wonderful trip!

ETA: Don't forget your coffee scoop, too.
