Last minute luck????

I have to wait till tuesday to call, but has anyone called recently or had luck with late/last minute reservations? Thinking of trying to sneak to WDW August 20 till whenever!!! week before labor day? Is that a busy time at WDW? I know alot of schools in Florida are back to school, but do you guys think I would still be able to get a 2 bedroom????? We are thinking a road trip!! UGGH!!!! All that family bonding!

We just returned, and I couldn't book our trip until 60 days out because we had points in holding from a room that was cancelled in Dec '05. The only rooms available were at SSR. I waitlisted for other DVCs but nothing became available for our trip. You'll probably be able to get a room but maybe not exactly where you want to stay.

We got a ressie in early Dec 05 for 12/21-12/26/05 at the resort of 1st choice (VWL). We felt the stars were definitely aligned for that one. You never know if you don't ask.

thanks - this trip will be very last minute, as it looks like my DD may qualify for horse show finals, and we won't know for sure till mid july!!! And Iwould hate to book something if she does qualify! Its a great opportunity for her. So I will keep my fingers crossed and see what happens!

the only places I haven't been are HH, BCV and BWV, and I have been happy with all the others, so it doesn't matter where we end up!

Dont forget that one week prior to arrival there is not waitlist so you may have some luck very last minute.
