I know this is making you a wreck, but..you have all your info, that is with Disney documentaion also, and it is paid. period...even at the very worst mistake on their part, if they gave you the wrong price , they have to honor what they did give you. This happened to me several years ago with a room I booked at the GF, they gave me the wrong price, and I had monies down on it. They knew after this was wrong, but had to give it to me...for the reasons stated above...

So I knw you are stressed right now, BUT, there is really not to much they can do! (just like at shaws...if the price is wrong, they have to give it to ya!! free!) ;)

What a fiasco!:headache: Please let us know how it turns out and give us a play-by-play as to what it took to resolve this issue. Your problem is not uncommon, but most people only complain about it and don't provide us with what recourse they took to address & correct the issue.

Don't worry, everything will be fine because you have your documentation and the PIF balance is listed on your paperwork.:goodvibes

Has anyone ever experienced this?
10 days out from departure
reservation confirmation via mail, e mail and $ 0 balance statement 1 month prior to 45 day cutoff
absolutly no correspondence from day 60 - day 10,
phone call 11 days out stating there is a $3,000.00 balance due on my trip!!!!
Now, my responsibility to fax all of this documentation to WDW travel co. guest services supervisor, and hope it is corrected in the next few days???
I am frantic ! I am definately sending strongly worded letters as high as I can go in the Disney heirarchy, but what is my recourse in the interim?
The policy statement on the back of all the paperwork says once final payment is made, Disney cannot change prices.....
In my book, this amounts to extortion ! Am I supposed to pay up or explain to my 4 yo twin daughters, their birthday trip of a lifetime has to be cancelled?
BAD MICKEY !:sad2:
Has this happened to anyone else? HELP!:scared:

I just have one question for you. Have you received the packet wth the hotel voucher after you paid it in full? This is normally mailed out a couple of weeks after your final payment due date. They DO NOT send this out unless the package is paid in full. This is your proof of being paid in full if you have received it.

Joan1 - interestingly enough...I received DME @ 45 days out, waited patiently for the rest.. even posted on the countdown board about not receiving it 12 days out...called CRO, they confirmed it was not sent, and e mailed documents dept. to follow-up. I suspect this was only the first time they started looking at this about 3-4 days ago.
I have e mailed to the supervisor @ the 877 - # CRO office. then asked for help from concierge who gave me a guest services in a different office ( much more helpful and polite) who also ask that I send the documents to her, which I did, with anything else I could find to support myself.
All in all, way too much effort on my part at this point, and I certainly hope more reasonable minds prevail at this point today..
Unfortunately, no matter what the outcome, at this point, it has left a bad taste in my mouth re: Disney. Thanks Goodness, my children will be oblivious to all this chaos, as long as Mommy can hold it together!

I feel so bad for you, twinnybelles:sad2: . This is rediculous. I am sending pixie dust pixiedust: your way that everything gets resolved and that you receive an apology from Disney.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful time on your trip.

:wave2:

Did you receive the usual hard copy invoice after the reservation was made?

Twinnybelles, I'm, sending you Pixie dust. Thank goodness you kept all of your documentation! I keep a special folder for any travel related documents in case of errors. The fact that you emailed the originals should make your case. Keep us posted.

i am interested in seeing how it turns out. I use AAA. but next time I plan on booking myself so we shall see.
hope it is straightened out soon.

Well, I had 2 nights booked at BWI GS last July. They were booked as 2 separate ressies and included 1 park admission for each person on the ressie (3 people). I got it for an unbelievable price and paid in full at the time of booking. They were booked online in Sept. of 2006. The ressies showed online that they were both paid in full. I admit I took advantage of a glitch on their online booking site, but it was their mistake, not mine! About 3 months later, I received a bill from Disney showing that I owed $600 and some dollars on a "paid in full" ressie for our first night. At the 45 day cancellation date, I cancelled. They never did charge me anything for the 2nd night. So they most certainly can and have changed prices on paid ressies. I thought for sure when I checked in for that 1 glorious night, that they would demand the additional monies on that ressie also, but they didn't. And we were treated like royalty!

OP, I hope this gets resolved for you. Sending pixie dust your way. pixiedust: pixiedust: :wizard:

1st a fully paid room, or package with Disney is just that--fully paid, they do NOT then raise the price (not even after you have just put down a deposit). So, how and when did you pay? Did you use a Travel Agent?
$3000 is alot of $$---so there is an obvious mistake on their part, or your CC did not get charged---but I think I would "know" if there was a missing $3000 out there.
Are you sure you paid it in full and that it was charged to your CC (or your check cleared)? If so, get the dates and amounts that you paid and call tomorrow. Don't panic.
Also, put together the pieces---did you have DDP? What type of hotel--value, deluxe, etc., what is your ticket package? Obviously, if you have paid $1800 total for 10 days at a deluxe with DDP and 10 day tickets, there might be a missing $3000. On the other hand, if you have paid about the right amount for all components of your package--then $3000 is a crazy mistake.
Do you have more details that you can share, so we can see if your "fully paid" price makes sense?

Ouch, what a horrible situation! I sincerely hope they get it resolved for you very soon! :(

What an awful situation 10 days out ! You've obviously kept every scrap of correspondence pertaining to your trip which is the best way to keep things like this from getting out of hand. If you have Amex docs as well as the PIF info from Disney, you should be just fine. As a previous poster mentioned, Disney is a large company and sometimes the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. When you speak to CRO just remember to remain calm. I always have to remind myself of that as I tend to get very ... ummm ... excitable in situations like this. Situations tend to be resolved a heck of a lot better if you remain calm, rational and logical as opposed to screaming, shouting and threatening (no matter how much you want to reach through the phone and wring their scrawny little necks ... oops ! Sorry !)
Please keep us posted - sending lots of Pixie Dust your way !

OMG this is terrible. BUT the fact you have all the hard copy evidence you should be fine. I would threaten that your 'attorney' will be contacting them and you will also be contacting the press. WDW doesn't need bad press over this.

This type of thing happened to me also!!!! My trip at the time was not paid off, however, I did have a discount code applied to what I had booked. I called CRO to check on another code to see if it was better and the girl CANCELLED what I had booked. POOF GONE!!!!! I was FREAKING out!!!!!! She said she could NOT get it back, it was gone!!!! YES, I raised the roof!!!! I NEVER told her to cancel anything, just to check out the other!!!! Luckily, we were able to fix it - not what I had, I didn't get that back, but, we were able to get another discount at the same resort.

It was about 3 hours of torture on the phone!!!! Things like this DO happen - I am always very very very leary about calling CRO to "check" anything once it's booked!!!

My guess is, when you called to check on the visa code, someone screwed up your ressie!!! I'd bet a million dollars that is what happened. Stick to your guns, and Thank Goodness you have all your documents!! Like I said, in my case, I had not paid it off yet.............so I had nothing but my deposit and the code, which was NO longer able to be applied back!! It was a nightmare for those few hours!!!

Good Luck - Keep us posted!!! I certainly hope all goes well!!!

:grouphug: I'm hoping everything works out ok for you! I'm sure it will, as it sounds like you've done a great job of keeping track of everything....I'll be there just a few days after you and can't imagine how much I would have freaked out if i had gotten that call! Keep us posted!

1) $3000 additional to be paid?
2) Sounds like you wanted extra pillows.
3) Glad you didn't ask for towel animals, too!

Quick update before I leave work ;) Just spoke with the supervisor again ( 12 hours later) 2 supervisors in Guest Relations reviewed the documents I faxed them last evening. They consisted of:
Final ( time/date stamped )Reservation Confirmation( showing PIN ammended balance)
AMEX payment reconciliation for same amount
WDW website screen print(dated 10/14) showing reservation amount with PIN code balance.
WDW Travel Co. document showing $0.00 balance
WDW website screen print(dated 10/14) showing $0.00 balance.
My personal e mail notes to myself showing CRO contact dates/times/names/subjects( mostly confirmations)
My original PLUTO PIN code e mail ( dated) with handwritten notes that corresponded to my e mail notes.

The Disney response: " This doesn't tell us anything" " Your original amount was $5,999.00, so this doesn't make sense"
CAN, you believe that was 12 hours of "investigation by 2 supervisors"?!?

Then: I let them know all of the same documents were sent to another supervisor in another office last evening. she confirmed all my notes were in the system and corresponded exactly! The other supervisor confirmed she knew the 2 I was dealing with. Needless to say, Supervisor was flabbergasted,, since she had just LIED, to me and said there were NO notes in the system past 8/6/07 ( the date of the original amount $ 5999) coincidence?
Then: I asked where were all of the correspondence noted from 45-40-35-30-25-20 days showing the mailed/phoned me that I had an existing balance. She was silent 10 full mins. before she conceded that there was no contact.
So , I ahe iven until 12 noon, tommorrow for her to call me directlt with a satisfactory outcome for me, or the direct immediate contact info for resolution prior to 5 pm close of business on Friday.
If WDW's answer continues to be pay or else, the I demanded ( not a reservation confirmation with balance due - their idea) but a WDW letterhead letter stating " You must pay this amount on this day or you may not come"
basically so I can follow-up after.:sad2:

Contact the press - get this out there on a news story. That is what I would be doing. Or just first threaten to contact the press. You are totally in the right here.

I have been following this & truly hoped it would have been resolved by now. I cannot believe this is happening, I am on pins & needles for you.

You should be happy & exited right now about your trip, not stressing over whether you will even be going.

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. Lot's of :wizard: & coming your way!
