Has anyone had any luck getting a one bed room or a studio in the summer months with just a couple of weeks notice. Which resort would be the easiest to get. SSR is my home resort?

OKW or SSR would be your best best. I know that August is less busy because many schools start then. We have made late June reservations at OKW with 1 month notice, but that's the closest.

I've made a reservation for WL 1 b/r for July with 5 weeks notice. Nothing was available at my home resorts BCV or BWV at the time.

I'd just make a list of the five on-site DVC resorts in your order of preference and just move down the list as you call MS. That's a better strategy than trying to figure out which resort is most likely to have room...because the truth is nobody knows until the phone call is made! Good luck getting into the resort of your preference....I don't think you'll get shut out completely during the summer.

I'm very last minute. I've had to come to Orlando suddenly from overseas...leaving before Member Services was open and have called on my way in from the airport...and gotten a room. It NEVER hurts to try

....the Rent/Trade board. Only today there is a Reservation for Rent this
coming weekend for only $6/pt! Things pop up all the time. You can really
get a great deal if you're willing to "go with the flow". :thumbsup2
