Last Man on Earth

I Just saw the show, and it was alright. Not sure if it's something I'll watch on a regular basis.

Ok, I'm going to amend my earlier statement to say that I'm actually liking the show. I went back and re-watched the first episode and found myself wanting to see the next episode. I hope this show lasts.

I think the show is funny but it's bugging me all the unanswered questions. Where are the bodies? So the virus also killed all the animals? And they were all buried too? I don't think the one liners are good enough to overcome all the holes in the plot.

Go with the fluff, lol...too much stress in the world, allow the fluff :D

This is what I'm thinking! It's bugging me too. But I'll roll with it. (As much as I can anyways...)

Yeah, just go with the fluff, it's much easier that way. I know I'd like to know more about the back story, but I don't think we're going to get it unless they do an episode or two on it...but I'm not going to hold my breath over it.

Did anyone watch the two episodes this week? What'd you think of Todd?

I loved the Shawshank part!

January Jones is not a favorite of mine, so it is just an ok show for me.

I am a Walking Dead fan, so I keep waiting for zombies to appear :rotfl:I just want to know where all of the bodies are.

I want to know where all the cars on the road are! The highway was empty, every street is empty and the parking lots are empty.

Pretty good premise, but it's already worn thin in execution as far as I'm concerned. I can take Forte in doses, but his voice grates on me after awhile. I kind of feel like the big joke is now out there, and it's going to now annoy me to no end as they beat the thing to death.

Haven't watched the most recent episode.

Loved how they met JJ character (is she Melissa?) when blowing through a Stop Sign....when Carole and given him a hard time about not obeying traffic laws previously.

Loved how it turns out that JJ's character was actually in town for two weeks before Carole. (You should have written your address!).

I wish they changed clothing more. Why in the world would you not when you have stores of clothing to wear. (And this is coming from a non-shopper). And why the Raisinballs? Surely there is some potted meat products they could use for meat?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'd much rather my DH be the last man on Earth (with me), since he seems to come up with solutions to the character's problems in no time. He and my son both pull the show apart at the seams. (Go to one of the other houses and get a door off it's hinges to replace Carole's). Do we know what his job was before the virus? He seems to have no skills.

Of course, our biggest solution is to not live in Tuscon. You've got to choose a more temperate area where there is a good water supply and the ability to grow crops.

I've often wondered that as well. I've also wondered where they get the gas for the cars they drive, or the RV Phil drive across country.

While there are several things that I can pick apart, the highlighted statement is the biggest one for me, well, that and the gas issue. My job isn't all that demanding, so I do tend to fantasizes/day dream during the day, and after this show came out I ran this one in my head, and still does from time to time. Now, if I were the last man on earth, I know I wouldn't want to live in the northeast, at least not with the winter we've just had. Where I would live I'm not sure, but I would have to factor in a few things before making my decision.
