Last day strategy

Help! Trying to decide best way to spend last day. We have a 6:00 pm flight. In the ideal world, I would go to a park that day, have a car pick us up at 4:00 and be off to the airport. That ideal world would include no luggage concerns. But the reality is, I don't know what to do with luggage besides leave it a the hotel. That means at least a trip back to the hotel. And if we use ME, we potentially have to be at the hotel at 2:00 to catch a bus (I've heard they are up to 4 hours ahead of flight time?). That means leaving the park by 1:00 to be sure to get back to resort by 2:00. So there goes a fairly nice long day in the parks.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
LisaB

We are kind of in the same situation except our flight leaves at 8:45 pm. We are saving that day for each of our two kids to pick their most favorite ride/event/attraction from one of the parks and we will do those two things for sure and then whatever else we have time for. We have 6 day park hoppers.

We just returned from our trip recently and our time for DME was 3hrs in advance.... and then they didn't show up for almost an hour after that! I guess they want you there early... so if they are late you won't miss your flight? LOL (but wasn't funny at the time)

Actually they set your time 3hrs in advance (or atleast did for us) but then the paperwork they give you the day before says to be there 15min before that... so it is a little over 3hrs. Even with them showing up an hour late- we still had PLENTY of time at the airport after checking in and getting our boarding passes (because for some reason AA couldn't give us boarding passes at the resort- then found out later we didn't have our assigned seating anymore because they'd overbooked! We ended up with the last row- ugh).

We never spend our last day in the parks simply because I'm such a cheapskate that I can't stand spending that much for a few hours there unless we have AP's at the time. Our last day we spent at GF... the older two kids doing the pirate cruise and me and youngest doing the breakfast at Park Fare. Then the girls did the Wonderland tea party.

We just got back this past Tuesday and are flight left at 5:20 p.m. We had a rental car so we didn't have to worry about luggage. We parked at the Poly and looked around there for a while, took the monorail to the GF and had lunch at the GF Cafe, took the monorail to the Contemporary and then took it back to the Poly. It was a great way to spend our last day - we got to visit the deluxe hotels, ride the monorail and see the Magic Kingdom one last time (at least from the monorail point of view)!!!

Are you flying into Philly? We also have an 8:45 flight. I was so thrilled to get one that late. It adds another full day in WDW!

For our last day, we will be eating breakfast at Ohana, checking out but leaving the bags at the Poly, going to Disney Quest, and lastly shopping at DTD and using our last CS credits at Earl of Sandwich. Tiffany Towncar is picking us up at the Poly at 6:25.
