Last Day Park Visit...how to use ME?

My son and his gal will spend some time with us in a couple of weeks at our Fort trip. They will be using ME.

I noticed on his plans they'll be at AK on Monday and then head back that evening on their flight.

How will they get from the park to MCL vis ME? Will they need to come back to the fort and go from there or can they go to the nearest resort and pick up a ME from that resort? Thanks!

They have to catch the ME from the resort where they have a Disney reservation at. They must be back at their resort 3 hours and 15 minutes before their pick up time. I assume by MCL you mean the airport correct which is MCO. When leaving a park to get back to the resort I would allow 1 hour and 30 minutes to get from the park to the resort

As the PP said, they'll need to be back at their resort for the DME pick-up. They also need to make sure they're confirmed for using DME (you can't just walk-up and expect a bus to be there). The night before they depart (or they can go down to guest services at any point in their trip), they'll be given a pick-up time based on their flight time. It's usually about three hours before the plane's scheduled departure (so, if the flight is at 3:00 pm, pick-up will be around noon). Disney asks you to be ready for pick at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Also, they should get back to their hotel with enough time to claim any bags left with bell services. I'd estimate that they'll need to be back at their resort somewhere around 3.5 hours before their scheduled flight time.

If their flight is in the evening, they they should have some time in the morning to spend at AK. They just need to leave enough time to get back to their resort for the DME pick-up.
