Hi we want to return next September planning has commenced!!
Defo want to stay onsite and take advantage of the free dining plan offer it suits our buget better ESP with 3 kids.

What onsite resorts has the largest rooms?
We are a family 2 adults ds16 dd8 and an infant because the infant gets a travel cot we can all fit in a standard room last year we stayed at OKW this was fine fir the price we paid
Just wondering are there any bigger rooms or is it a matter of paying the extra £1000 for a 1 bedroom villa

Basically for 5 where's best to stay

I think Poly & CR have the biggest standard rooms. (Deifnitley not BLT though!!)

Our Boardwalk room was quite a good size. And our AKL rooms have both been fine. (AKV Jambo room was a great size but we did have a sofa bed as opposed to a second bed.)

The new poly studios have two bathrooms and are the only studio to have two. Not sure of the exact size of those new rooms but apart from these OKW are the biggest studio rooms so you have already stayed in the largest studio available. OKW one bedroom villas have two pull out beds a single and a double not one like I think the others all have. Some Beach Club rooms also have a pull out bed as well as two queens but that room would be tight with a cot in it as well as four other people IMO. The family suites at Art of Animation and one of the other value resorts also sleep 5 and have a kitchenette. The dining plan was breakfast only for those though on the last free dining offer.

We like the studio rooms at OKW - they are the largest studios on Disney property (also the oldest but it doesn't show). Last time we were upgraded to a 1 bed apartment by chance as we had been allocated the last studio room available and the air con wasn't working so they upgraded us for free - it was amazing - was about three times bigger than the studio - we had a separate room with king sized bed and in the living room there was a double sofa bed. DD who was 18 at the time slept very soundly and comfortably on the sofa bed. I say if you can afford the 1 bed then go for it - I would if I could. :goodvibes

As a rule the older resorts have the largest rooms!

OKW is probably not only one of the largest rooms on property but least $$ per square foot.

I wouldn't be surprised if the one bedroom at OKW was cheaper than a new studio at the poly!

OKW has the largest rooms of all the DVC resorts (not sure where the poly comes but as it only has studios & the 20 bungalows I haven't taken much notice as we are a one bed family). The CR & Poly have the latest standard rooms.

The other option could be a cabin at FW but they only have double beds in and are considered a mod so get the QSDP which you would have to upgrade.

The new studios at the Polinesian DVC will be bigger than OKW (they should be open by September); however most of the space will go in the bathroom area (with a split configuration). They will be open by September. However there are a few concerns about storage space, because there are no drawers, since below the TV there is a pull out bed.
Not sure they'll offer free dining plan on those either.

GF studios would be the biggest. They sleep five have a split bath. One door has a shower and the other door has a tub/shower combo. The sink area is in the middle between the two bathrooms. So two can shower at the same time and one can be at the sink.

The other thing to keep in mind with OKW is you don't get a couch in the room. You get a dinette table with chairs - two chairs if I remember correctly-so are left sitting on the bed to watch tv
