Large group questions...MDE and FP+

Long story short...I need huge amounts of help. HA!

We are two families traveling together in June. Both families are 2 adults and 4 kids...so 12 people traveling together. All staying at Bay Lake and have 4 day water park fun and more plus hopping. This is the first time that my family has been to WDW since the implementation of FP+. We have been living overseas for three years. But both families have lots of WDW trips under our belts.

1. Do we need to link the two resort reservations on MDE? What are the advantages and disadvantages of linking?

2. Is it better for me to contact member services or Disney Dining if I need to make dining reservations for a group our size or can it be done easily online?

3. Any tips for making FP+ reservations for a group our size?

Each family should have their own MDE account and link their room reservation & tickets to their own account.

Once that's done, you could use their room reservation number to add their entire family to your family & friends list (MDE website only option). This would also add your family to their family & friends list automatically. This would connect both families and allow either family to make plans for both.
