What kind of pointing device do you use on your laptop? My lap came with the standard touchpad, but I'm not a big fan of it, so the other day I went out and picked up a USB laptop mouse. What a great improvement. In fact the pointing device was the biggest drawback for me about using a laptop, but now I can zip around, just like my desktop
So what kind of pointing device do you use on your laptop?

The touchpad. Takes a little while to get used to but even while working(I work from home) it's nice to be able to just pick up the laptop and work anywhere in the house without remembering to bring along the mouse.

when my desktop died I just got the mouse and plugged it into the usb, but if I out of the house with it I just use the touch pad cause I don't want to lug it around

When I first got my laptop I thought there was no way I'd ever get use to the touchpad. Now I use a mouse maybe 30% of the time and the touchpad the rest of the time.

I'm pretty quick with the touchpad. I do have a wireless mouse but I don't plug it in all the much. I like to sit with my laptop in my lap so it's easiest to use the touchpad.

I usually use the touchpad just because it's most convenient. I do, however, plug in the regular mouse occasionally...mostly when I'm playing a game.

the mouse but when i have my laptop literally on my lap i use the touchpad.
it's a lot easier than you'd think. i love it

We have a wireless mouse with our latop. The touchpad is evil!

I am going to get a laptop soon hopefully.. if i get that job.. well anyways i think i want a mouse also becuase i have used a touchpad and let me tell you.. i know why it is called a 'touch'pad. lol

Depends where I am. If I'm at home I'm usually using my computer while sitting on my bed or on the couch. No place really to use a mouse so I use the touchpad. When I'm in my dorm room I'm usually sitting at my desk so I use a wireless mouse then, although if my roommate's asleep, then I'll use the touchpad because my mouse can be a little loud.

When I first got my laptop I thought I would never be used to the touchpad, but within a week it was fine, second nature.
I wouldn't use a mouse because 99% of the time I use it, my laptop is on my lap.
The only time I have it on a surface where I could use a mouse is when I eat lunch.

I use both the touch pad and a wireless mouse. It depends where I'm using the laptop. At home I use my laptop on my coffee table so I use a wireless mouse. Right now I'm sitting at a McDonald's (free WIFI!!) and I'm using the touch pad.

I *HATE* the pointy thing in the middle of the keyboard!!

When I'm at work, I have a docking station with a regular keyboard and mouse. When I'm on the road, I use the touchpad if I'm in a hotel room but I attach a USB mouse if I'm doing a presentation.
