Lanyards with Pins/ larger wallet type lanyards on rides?

Does anybody know if they allow lanyards with pins on them or lanyards with a small wallet type attachment like the DCL one here on Rip Ride Rocket, Dragon Challenge and Hulk? Or do they only allow the very basic lanyard that will only hold passes? Just wondering if we will need one basic lanyard for the family for the Express passes and put the rest in the lockers.

I use the UO wallet lanyard and wear it while on the mummy with no problem
I tuck it under my top
So it won't fly up

Do not know if you have pins on the lanyard if it will make it a problem for the metal detector at RRR

I wear my lanyard on ALL the rides at USO even the metal detector rides. I have 3-4 pins on mine. I do HIGHLY recommend purchasing some military style clips. I bought a pack of 25 or so on amazon for less than $5. They're not the kind with allen wrench backs, but rather the clip on kind. I've only ever had one pop off and it was caught and being pooled pretty heavy.

As mac said I also put mine in my shirt before getting on the ride.

So far I only figured out how to send them is by emails. Lol

The two that I have were well made
And no wear marks on them

Bought two of them back in about 2004-5

It is a trifold wallet with Velcro closing for it
When opened all the way, it has two slide in pockets and a coin zipper pocket


What they sell now is a bit smaller and without the one pocket
And it feels like cheap plastic on the lanyard

It looks more like it is for a young child
And looks like a piece of crap

They stopped making the wallet lanyards that I bought

There are some places outside the parks that make decent wallet style lanyards
I found some similar ones by googling it

If i can piggy back my question here as it is similar:
I have a jogging belt the is slim fitting and holds nothing more then a key and my cell phone (maybe my ticket will fit as well). Can I wear this on the rides? It fits under the band of yoga pants.

Yes except the rides that have metal detectors. I do not know this from experience. I highly doubt the TM's would see it. On the rides that require only lockers not metal detectors I take my cell phone sometimes for pictures and then put it in the band of my pants to hold it while I ride. I don't see the belt being any different. Now, on the rides with metal detectors anything metal on/in it will set them off. It's not worth the hassle of trying to sneak it on. Just get a locker.

but with the few rides that have metal detectors, i think it would pick up you having a cell on you.

if they catch it, probably send you to the lockers to store it.


but if you are doing rides such as MIB, Mummy, don't think you will have an issue with that.
they do have free lockers to store any loose items.

those type of rides don't want anything that can fall out of your hand or pocket and land on the ride rail.
the ride would automatically shut down if that happened.
then the ride closes and all have to walk out.

TM's have to walk thru the ride to find the object that triggered the safety shut down.
once they find it, then they have to do trial runs of the ride with the ride empty before they can start it back up to the public again.

i was on a ride once/MIB and it was shut down.
someone had an item fall out of their hands/person/?, and it fell on the track.

all the lights for that ride were turned on and a team of TM walked all out of the building

btw, i stick my cell phone in my bra and has never fallen out during the rides.....

I stick it horizontal with my belly lap band of my shorts/pants. I find it most secure there. I often wear high cut shirts and cant easily stick my phone in my lady lumps. I do that at dance sometimes (stick it in my sports bra) when I need to bust a move and I'm not near the teacher table. My girls always laugh pretty hard... Hey man. Do what you gotta do! I do not suggest sticking it long ways in your lap band as it might bend or the lap hand might push on it and bust the screen. I put it horizonal with the screen facing my skin for added squish.

If there is a ride that I need to place it in a locker that is fine (Ill save those rides for a mobile device free day (the day we will do all wet rides as well LOL) I wouldn't want anyone injured for being stupid!

RRR, Hulk and Dragon Challenge all have metal detectors.
