Language of your own-Please help!

OK, very newbie here. How about a sticky on the DISboard language.

For example I think I have some figured out, but others still baffle me.

DH & DW= Disney Husband and Disney Wife?
DD & DS = Disney Daughter and Disney Son ?

I was looking at restaurants and for the life of me I can't figure out what CRT is, however people are very excited about booking it.

There were a couple others I have no idea what people are talking about.

CRT stand for Cinderella's Royal Table and it's the Castle's Character Meal with the Princesses. A real hot ticket,LOL.

I'm so glad you asked what a sticky is as I've been wondering the same thing for a few months but never asked. I'm thinking a thread is a topic, right? But is a sticky a special kind of thread?

lol...I just figured that one out myself! A sticky is a post that the moderator 'sticks' to the top of the list of threads, so it doesn't work it's way down the page and off into recorded history!

Welcome to the site! and thank you for posting the question. I am gradually getting the hang of the hotel and restaurant abbreviations, but I still stumble over them sometimes.

I am still learning the abbreviations too...some where easy to get but there were a few for the life of me I could not figure out. So I printed out the list to keep next to me when I visit this board to do a quick lookup for ones that I still don't know. Maybe by my trip in Oct I will have most of them memorized.
