I was looking for ways of reducing the cost of our one oop meal on our WDW trip in October. We will have the DDP but have decided that we want to try T-Rex in DTD for my DGS bday while we're there.
So, if I join this Landry club, I pay $25 to join, that goes on my card like a credit, then if I use my husband on the card, his Bday in in Oct, so for his Bday they put $25 on the card to use only for the month of Oct. So that would mean that for $25 I end up with a $50 gift card/credit to use in October. :thumbsup2 Anyone know if This is right?

I belong to the Safari club for rainforest cafe. I have been a member for 3 or 4 years now and I don't get this level of perks, so I am not sure what you are talking about. The club was $15 to join and I was just at a rainforest in Chicago and I think it was still $15, but I didn't pay alot of attention. I received a $10 certificate when I joined. I get coupons via e-mail all the time for free desert or $5 off your meal and I do believe you get a b-day one too, but not for $25. You cannot combine the coupons either. You normally get 10%off or a free appetizer ( at all Landrys). You should get priority seating at Rainforest, but not the other Landrys like T-Rex.

You can go to Landry's website to look at the official details

I would be interesting to know who this club works as well. Anyone?

I googled Landry rewards card (or similar) and got this http://www.landrysselect.com/SelectClubFeatures.aspx
It explains the perks and cost that I mentioned. Just want to see if what I'm thinking is right. They don't make it sound like you would be combining offers, because it sounds like just a credit that goes on your card. It appears that this program has changed alot over the years, including the price that was $15 and is now $25, from what I read. Now I wonder if they are somehow different programs?

This is different from the Safari Club because it says in the terms and conditions that it can't be used in conjunction with the Safari Club. Otherwise I read it the same as the OP so it looks to me like you would end up with $50 on your card in Oct.

Looks right to me! Thanks for letting us know about this! We're going for my bday in October also...sounds good getting a $50 GC for $25. :) That in addition to the GC's from mypoints make a really nice free meal!

Sounds interesting. My birthday is next month so doubt I would get the birthday reward, but maybe for my husband. I can't figure out what the "points" are good for - like how they are redeemed

ETA: found it. 250 points redeems to $25

At first I thought it was the same as the Safari Club, but it's called Landry's Select Club" . Don't know why they would offer both- I'll do a little more reading. But either way, I like the idea of getting $50 to spend on my trip for $25 oop!

I just went and checked it out and it looks great. I am a little worried though that it has no information on the main Landry site about this program. No links, nothing, I even went into few of the sites for each restaurants sites and nothing. They do have another program listed called the friends club that you earn points on the Charley Crab website. i go to Charley Crab ever so often. I was at a rainforest a couple of weeks ago and I also didn't see any information on this anywhere like I did the safari club.

Hopefully we can hear from someone that has this membership to see if it is legit.

I will sign up right away if it is, what a great savings. Thanks for posting.

I felt the same uncertainties, and I really hope to find someone that knows something! Yep...I'll join right away when I feel it will work. I may have to call T-Rex myself!:goodvibes

I looked at the Select Club website also and when you search for locations in Orlando, there is a short list, but it does not list the T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe. There is a section on the bottom that includes these restaurants but it makes me wonder if these locations honor the card. I might try to give the Rainforest a call later and see if they accept the select card. I would get the birthday credit too, so this would be worth my while.:confused3

Ok-I just called the Rainforest at DD and the DO NOT accept the Landry's Select Club cards at ANY of the Disney locations (Rainforest, T-Rex, Yak & Yeti).

However, right now they are running a promo until/through July for the Safari Club. It's $10. I am going to call the Safari club line on Monday (closed on weekends) and see if I can get a card mailed to me because I could not find where they would sell them on the Rainforest website. The person told me that you could only buy these at the Rainforest but I thought it might be worth a shot.

I just called T-Rex in DTD- Yes they honor the Select Club card! Yeah! And I asked him a few ?s, and it is just as it states in the above link. Sounds like I'm joining!

The above young man I spoke with, said this is not the same as the Safari card that Rain forest uses. It's a whole other program.

I will email Landry's Select contact Email and let you all know what info I get there. I tried calling 1-866-995-6925 but they are not open until Mon (normal buis. hours- and I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to call Mon. We'll see what they say.....

I hope this is legit ~ my mom's B~day is in Oct. (she's coming with us to WDW) I want to have a meal there (T-Rex), mostly for DS.

Sounds just like us. Grandson turns 8 in October, but he's too young to get a card ;) but Grandpa has his Bday too, so it will be great (I hope)
Our trip will be Grandma (me) Grandpa, DD, her DH, DS (turning 8) and DD2 (her first WDW trip). I can't wait! DGS loves Dinos, hope DGD isn't afraid of Dinosaurs!!

This is perfect! We'll be going for mine & dh's bday's in July so we'd get the $50! Thanks for posting!

To be sure, since people have posted conflicting info, (why would someone at T-Rex lie to me?) I will post again on Monday after calling to be sure this works at the Disney T-Rex. Unless someone beats me to it. Landry' Select Card # 1-866-995-6925
T Rex DTD #1-407-828-8739
I hope to be joining this club on Monday!:thumbsup2
