My FIL used to be a private pilot.

An occasional plane still lands here, and DH used to use it to fly his remote control airplanes. He's thought about turning it back to farm land, but hates to just in case he finds the time to fly his planes again.

[Glad I am not the only one who thought this thread had to do with bikini waxing.]

The nearest landingstrip is about 4 or 5 miles from my house and it is part of a super-small private airport.
