Thinking about buying these for our August trip. Has anyone tried them? How do the sizes run? I wear a 10 womens in almost all shoes-would I need a 10 here too? DD usually wears a 91/2, but can wear a 9 or a 10; not sure what size to get her. I guess I would order mine and have her try them one.

Any reviews are greatly appreciated.

Also, any other reasonable sandal suggestions? I want comfortable sandals in addition to our tennis shoes, but we won't wear them for much other than this Disney trip so I don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

I bought some last month and they are very comfy. They ran true to size for me. My only problem is that I have a wide foot, so I ended up buying a Men's size 6 which fits perfectly and I like the color better, too. :thumbsup2

If you wear a 10, order a 10. Do they not make half sizes? If not, have her try on your 10s. She would probably be more comfortable in a 1/2 size larger than a 1/2 size smaller. Do you have a Sears store near you? Sears sells Lands End now, so you can go to Sears and try them on for size. If you can't find what you like at Sears, then order from Lands End, but at least you would know the size to order.

Regarding other brands, one of my friends really likes her Keen sandals because they have a closed toe. However, they are rather expensive.

I have some that I loved at first, but I ended up getting a very sore inflamed spot on my arch from them. This might have been because mine seemed to be a little big on me. I still wear them occasionally, but for long days at the park, I'm sticking with my Crocs.

:love::love:I bought the Mary Jane style (not the cross toe strap) and loved them for the parks. To prevent hot spots I wore them on alternating days with my skechers mary janes which I've had for three years which I also loved in the parks and I wore thong sandals to the pool and around the resort. They come in half and wide sizes when you buy them online (oh, and pink!). The only time I have a problem with them is when I'm walking on a sandy or pebbly track. Mine are a little long and the holes on the back/sides of the shoe allow sand and pebbles to slip in.

I don't have these shoes, but we have other Land's Ends water shoes, and they are horrible. I did look at these Trekkers at Sears the other day, and they looked like the same uncomfortable insert as in our water shoes. Our water shoes have a cardboard like insert, and are totally uncomfortable. We bought them in states, so with CDN exchange, they were expensive, and they all just sit in the garage collecting dust as we attempt to wear them in the backyard and they hurt as all heck! Hopefully, the ones you are looking at will be more comfy.

No more Crocs for us - terribly slippery and very expensive for plastic shoes. We just bought all of us new park shoes (8 pairs - very expensive month!): Keens, Teva, Merrill and New Balance kids' hybrid water shoe/sandal. They are all super comfy, closed toes and waterproof. They are more expensive then Crocs or Lands End, but they are very well made and being waterproof, non-slippery and closed toes for us is priceless!

Good luck in your quest for comfy shoes, Tiger :)

I used these for our trip in May, and highly recommend them! I wore them every day, and had no blisters at all, and my feet felt great. We went during the rain week, and I had no problems at all when they got wet. They dried out very quickly, and were always ready to go in the morning.

I wear an 8.5 wide. and got the size 9. No problems with sizing.

I did order a pair of the Keen's, but sent them back, because I actually hated the feeling of the closed toe. I love Croc's too, but they tend to get too slippery when wet. In years past, I had always worn my New Balance sneakers to the parks, but always got blisters. So, I was very happy this year, with those Trekkers. I had the sandal style.

As far as the water shoes, don't buy the Mary Jane style, if you are going to Typhoon Lagoon. My straps kept coming undone in the wave pool! :) Other than that, no problems with the water shoes. Not that we went to the water parks much, in all that rain! LOL

Hope this helps!

I have the Lands End Trekker Mary Janes and have already decided that these are the shoes I am taking in August. Very comfortable for walking and my feet don't get overheated. They are much better than last year's water shoes. At first I did not like the look of them but I get a ton of compliments.

My husband has the male version - he has feet issues (gout) and loves these shoes.

Now I just have to get my kids pairs!

weird-e-o. I just got the landsend trekker shoe a month ago:

It took 3 tries to get the size right, I think they run REALLY small. I typically wear a 7.5 in street shoes, had to go up to 8.5 on these. And I have narrow feet.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

They are super light weight, but comfy and adjustable, and cool.

I am a barefoot person usually, and hate socks, so these are great and wear well without socks.

I bet the sandals are great too!

I got these for 30% off and I think it was a really great deal compared to some of the really pricey alternatives out there!

My DH and I got our pairs about a month ago to break in for our August trip. I love mine I went up 1/2 size cause they didnt run 1/2 sizes online when I bought mine. It rained really bad this weekend with large puddles so I thought perfect time to try out the water part. They were fantastic I didnt feel clammy or anything with them on. My husband hated them. He has wide feet and the ones I bought him were too small so he refused to even get another pair (hes a huge baby sometimes :lovestruc) but I took them to Sears and was credited right away. You will love them I suggest them especially for the price they are nice and cheap!! (in comparison to other brands that folks suggest)
