LAND/SEA 3/3-3/10 Part 1

Just got back......have mixed feelings.
land portion: stayed at AKL and upgraded to concierge when we arrived. I would strongly recommend concierge. The larger room was nice, and the lounge was wonderful! We ate breakfast every day there and snacked so much one night that we skipped dinner. Stayed on the Uzima Sav. and the view was fantastic, esp. sunrise! The parks were empty Thurs & Fri but the spring break crowd showed up on Sat. AKL service was excellent, and this resort is beautiful........On to the cruise!
DAY 1........ My DS9 saw Wonders stacks first as we came over the bridge, and the ship looked beautiful, even if it was dwarfed by the RCCL ship docked next to it. Getting on the ship was fine after we got into the terminal ( lots of kids needing to use the bathroom, but there are none until you get past security......make sure you go BEFORE you get to the terminal! ) Walking on the ship was just WOW.....felt the Disney Magic right away. Our room was ready so we went to check it out ( cat 6 ) The room was awesome, the verandah view was breathtaking! ( deck 6 Mid ) Went to a lovely lunch, sat outside and took it all in! Sail away party was fun and the show and dinner were ok. It was so peacefull falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean from our verandah. ( it stayed open the whole trip ).....DAY 2-4 to follow

Anybody else on the 3/3/05 4 night Wonder know we hit Nassau twice ? We left for the first time at 9:15 pm and were back at the dock by 4:30 am for a second time.............form the look of it from my balcony it was a medical emergency, the ambulance was waiting for the passenger.........kinda makes you wonder how close we are to castaway since we pulled out after 5 am and were docked at CC by 9am.

Did you notice how fast the boat was going after we left Nassau for the second time? Someone else on board told me that the ship can go almost 30mph! I credit the captain, who also got us into CC in tough conditions.......even if CC was unusable!
