Land Of The Lost - The DVC Members with Resort Reservations and No Tickets Crying Room....

So if I go buy my tickets through undercover tourist will I be able to upgrade them?

Does anyone know normally we get a discounted annual pass rate because of DVC so if we buy tickets and upgrade will they let us buy the AP at the discounted rate?
I have upgraded UT tickets to the DVC gold pass many times. But it is always in person when I get there. You do get the same rate and even get to keep the savings from the UT tickets.

Unfortunately they never announced 2020 would be open today. Just later this summer. Sorry, I know it sucks.
I had initially expected sales to start 4 - 6 weeks after initial park openings.

with the increasing over night CV numbers, even tho masks still not mandated in FL, the government is slowing reopening down. I’m having doubts WDW Will open as projected, hope I’m wrong there

Regardless, believe they are being intentionally vague re new tix purchases JIK the opening is rolled back
On the dvc res without tickets thread the moderator posted the word is July 11 for 2020 tickets.
Good of guess as any, as to the date

did see thread the people posting they could purchase APH thru AAA online, complete with a screenshot My area ones only offer tix and they’ve been on hold as other vendors

just so everyone knows and we are on the same page. . . just got off with DVC so take it all for what it's worth.

1. no annual pass sales.
2. renewals only.
3. I got mixed answers for ticket upgrades on phone. In person same as always but over phone I’m getting 2 answers. refund old unused ticket repurchase new annual pass.
4. I also got u can upgrade without repurchase over phone. To upgrade over phone without a refund u have to not have used any days. Has to be unused ticket.
5. Reason u can’t buy annual passes yet is cause of 2020 people. They said they can’t book park days till July or later in summer and if they sold 2021 people annual passes since there is no date on them you would be able to book 2020 park days which they don’t want right now. So it makes sense. Still not a right way to handle it for 2020 or 2021 dvc guests but hey the mouse wants u booking packages cause that’s how he makes his coin to buy Minnie expensive stuff.

Aaa it’s based on what they have available in different regions my friend who works for them said yesterday. I called her.

No upgrading complimentary tix either Asked re the ROTR ones they gave out when having issues at opening. Had hoped they might permit in this new era but no

So no voucher sales then?

was planning on letting ours go that expire in dec & jan Then, buying vouchers to link to MDE

why is this so confusing lol

When u buy an annual pass it is a voucher. That’s why they aren’t selling them now cause they don’t start till u use them and if they sold them now 2020 guests would be able to use them now to book park days.

I got my tickets at UT this morning.
Please keep fingers crossed for me- we have bought tickets to upgrade exactly once ever. Unfortunately that time, when I went to guest services the cast member was convinced that I must be running some sort of scam and refuse to let me upgrade my tickets and somehow put a note on my account so nobody else would let me do it either. We basically started trying to upgrade our tickets at 3:00 in the afternoon and didn't get it accomplished until the next morning as we were entering the park on the 5th out of our 5 days. We went through five different locations in the afternoon and evening, including the guest services at Hollywood studios where a Manager came out to tell me that if I didn't want to pay full price for all of my tickets at Disney then I should go somewhere else and not come there for my vacations anymore. After the first location each time I approached a customer service when they got my name they would read the note and call a manager out who would explain to me that I was not allowed to upgrade unless I paid the price difference between what undercover tourist had paid for the tickets and what the current ticket I wanted was. (The tickets weren't old and there was no time gap there really was no explanation for it) The experience was a living hell. The cast member who eventually was able to upgrade my tickets for me had to get management on the line to override something on their system that was telling them to not let me personally upgrade these tickets because some lady who had been working at the first location I went to thought I had an unfair discount.

I am so sorry and have never had that experience, Matter of fact, last October, I didn’t even go through the gate first...which is waht was always needed to keep the savings.

The CM said, I am going to just bridge for you and then upgrade. I was surprised because I was all set to not get that extra $60 savings,

Good luck!

Plugged officially pulled. Looks like there is no guarantee that we could show in two weeks and buy tickets on 7/11 for park entry. Plus the CV numbers are just not good in anyways. Discussing October timeframe. We have $$ on Southwest and American to spend, plus I have 100 plus points right now that can't be banked apparently.

We are pivoting to move middle DD into her new apartment instead on that weekend. We we planning to do later in July. Huge thanks for all who have been calling and trying. One day soon, we will be back to complaining about wait times, and other things. 4 parks 1 day is in my future.

It’s so strange, have always been able to purchase them and let them set until ready to use them. Bonus of making FP was just icing on the cake.

SWA - cancel the flight, take the extended credit, keep an eye on the website for when the point conversion option is put into place.

Points - if your points & they were borrowed, call MS and ask if they will unborrow & u can bank. I was accommodated early in May, On an Oct UY.

Plan on calling soon on the banking option. Dec UY...

My last 2 trips of year are on Dec UY too. Only the Sept/Oct one is using this year’s points. probably will stick that one out. Not many points tied up & do have park res since booked in an AKJ value room, won’t be too bad of a hit if we lose them.

Right bit again if they let us buy now then we would be able to make park reservations for 2020 and they don’t want that right now. It makes sense not is a messed up way.

FWIW, after seeing this advice on another thread I purchased an Annual Pass through AAA. Although it took me about a day to be able to successfully buy one, I was able to immediately apply it to my DS and make all our park reservations for 2020.

AAA is not selling any other WDW tickets, but if you're in the market for APs for those folks in your party without park tickets, it might be a good option.

Good for you! FL AAA?

very interesting! Could you elaborate on the process? Why did it take a day?

Dead true. Suspecting this latest trick would show up, DW & I were able to buy TWO NEW GP's, just before the lockout, on 6-18-2020. Sold, sitting in my CC Account, and listed on our MDE account.

So we won. I just don't like HOW we won - by having to 2nd guess how WDW was going to try to nail us THIS week :(. That's not customer service.... it's customer warfare :(

Nail us is a gentle way of saying it to say the least. I’m so bitter right now. I get it’s a bad time right now but it was just not handled properly I feel. No idea why I would do 2021 vs 2020 first.
