this is the best I could find.

I have been sitting here trying to figure out this last puzzle that Linty linked me to. Spent about an hour earlier, then looked at my watch and DS9 had his last BB game starting in 12 minutes!!! I jumped up and started screaming , get dressed, get dressed....I can't believe he did, the kid has never moved that fast in his life. All of us hopped in the car and got there with 4 minutes to spare.. I still don't know how we did it. Then (STUPID, STUPID, STUPID) I come back and spend another hour trying to get out of this puzzle...I am exhausted!!

From now on I will not do one of these things w/o a cheat sheet..no way..I am just not smart enough!!

Ooh, can I steal this one? I need a life, too.

Take it what's mine is yours...:goodvibes

Do you all get anything for your kids' coaches at the end of the season? I don't really know all the other parents on DS's Basketball team but I thought maybe a GC for food would be a nice thing. The kid is still in college, I think. He did a great job. Pizza party after the last game tomorrow so I am thinking I should come up with something? Apparently no winner moms on the team roster--usually one of them sets this up!:lmao: Any ideas??:confused3

Last year I was the winner mom and did both teams. The other parents are bigger losers than I was, some DID give gladly and timely..others had to be reminded (I hate that ) and others said yes, but never gave. I made cards for the coaches from the boys and they all signed it.

I feel bad this year I did not (not going to do it again) do it...I asked someone else if they were doing anything, and it put a bug in her ear, because she is handling it..the other coach, who is very nice and really deserving, is not getting anything. I was the only parent who brought a snack to their games (twice..no one got the hint..) I am not organizing anything.

Last year we got gift certificates to Applebee's with the embarrassing amount of money we got. I know people don't have a lot of money, but if you have $70 bucks to sign your kid up for baseball, $5-10 for the coach who does it for FREE shouldn't be a big deal..Some people handed me $3...:sad2:

I told DH he owed me for the Schnapps last night, so he brought home a liter of ...

I'm gonna go make myself a little nightcap....later y'all.

Well, I meant to start something, but I only went to 3 games all season (we only have 2 kids and have a hard time making it to their activities. I can't imagaine how all of you with 3+ kids do it!:worship: ) so I don't know the other parents and I told DH to say something one night at practice, but.... So I am thinking that it would be nice to give at least a little something just from us. Maybe $10-20 for a food place. He's only a college student and they like to eat, right?

I think a small GC just from your family would be perfect and totally unexpected. $15 for a pizza joint or Starbucks would probably floor him, and then you won't have to worry about organizing anything and hitting those lovely brick walls that people erect when you are asking them to give..

.I wish I could do that small amount on our own for the one coach, but he is in his 40's with 4 kids, so I don't think a $15 GC will do much for him...
