We were on the third floor, and the view was much more of trees/ pool, bocci area...room 7329. The lake was just a sliver of the view. Is there a way to find out if this was really "lake view?"

Thanks.

Citing work2play's awesome BLT view thread...

It does seem like 7329 is a lake view villa. There wasn't any direct report from that room until yours (maybe post on that thread so he can update his info?) but based on other rooms around it, he predicted it was lake view. He has the compiled info there from everyone who replies on that thread with the room they were in and what kind it was in his maps in the first post.

Sounds a bit disappointing to have a lake view and not see the lake, though :confused3 I guess it's too late for them to reclassify rooms now, though, as it'd throw off the point distributions and allocations.

OK...thanks. I sent an e-mail to Member Services asking them, and when I get their reply, I'll post on that thread.

Hi bobbiwoz....don't know whether your room was a lake view or not, but, if you were disappointed I can certainly understand that. We just got back last Friday (1/8) from BLT and stayed in a lake view 2 bdrm lockoff (#7812 and $7814). While our view was fantastic......we had Bay Lake on our right and MK to our left.........dead straight looking at Space Mountain side view......we were placed in a HA room. I didn't request a change for a few reasons.....#1 being I did request a higher floor, even numbered room on north side, so, they did meet my request and I felt I shouldn't ask to be changed after my requests were met. However, in the future I will not request anything other than a higher floor and a non-HA room because it did make our stay very awkward......DH is over 6' tall and while I'm only 4'11"....the kitchen counters were even too low for me and we do quite a bit of cooking in our room.....we even needed to move the coffee maker and toaster to the island because that was the only way they were functional for us. So, I learned a valuable lesson......since requests are just that......don't ask for too much. I have never requested anything other than a higher floor in the past and we've been pleased with all of our past rooms/views over the past 10 years (approx. 20 stays) except for one other time at BCV when we were placed in a studio right above the Ariel statue with a view of the roof on the covered walkway.

Wow, that is not that far from where we stayed, in #7337, and that was a SV studio. It sounds like your view was similar to ours and actually, because we were farther down, we had a partial LV (there is a picture posted in Work2Play's thread).

I've heard from a CM in the DVC organization. They are presently rethinking some of the views. This was the response that I got from Nikki in MS.

We appreciate your taking the time to write to us. Based on the nature of your comments, I have forwarded your message to the Walt Disney WorldResort Executive Offices for review. You may expect to hear from a correspondent within the next 14 days.
